About Game

Bounty Hunters Demo by Nolimit City

Bounty Hunters sends a Hunter to the left, right, and bottom edges of its bonus board, and the middle of that board has no reels at all. In this demo, Thugs worth 1x to 25x land in a 4×5 block and keep their value from spin to spin until a Hunter faces them. Each collect lifts that Hunter’s multiplier by 1 for the next spin, to a limit of 12x.

In front of all this, Nolimit City put a plain 5×3 western with 243 ways and a 5x top pay. Those reels are ordinary. The two bonus modes behind them are far better than the board suggests, and they’re the part of this slot to learn.

Slot Features

A Duel on One Row

Gold-revolver Bonus symbols land only on reels 1 and 5. When one lands at each end of the same row, Mexican Standoff starts. That row respins alone, the other two rows go dark, and both Bonus symbols turn into sticky Wilds worth 6x each. A Bounty Hunter Wild that lands on the triggering spin becomes a sticky 6x Wild as well.

The game multiplies the sticky multipliers into the win multiplier instead of summing them. During the feature, Bonus symbols can also land on the middle reels. Each new one gives an extra respin, acts as a Wild on the next respin, and stays sticky until the feature closes, with another 6x attached.

xBet at 3x

xBet adds an extra 200% to the bet, making the total 3x, and it raises the chance of triggering the features. Symbol pays don’t move when it’s on.

Raid and Showdown Spins

Raid Spins

Sack-of-gold Scatters appear on reels 2, 3, and 4, and three of them start Raid Spins. On Nolimit City’s figures, a bonus mode arrives 1 in 180 spins.

The reels give way to a 4×5 centre area for Thugs and Bosses, with 5-row reels at the left and right and a 4-reel row along the bottom. A Hunter waits at each of the three edges. The round opens with 3 spins and goes back to 3 whenever a Thug or Boss lands.

Each Hunter collects the nearest Thug or Boss in its line and kills it. Anything no Hunter faces stays on the board with its value for the next spin. The collected value times the Hunter’s multiplier goes onto the win multiplier, and the Hunter’s multiplier rises by 1 after each collect, never past 12x. The left and right Hunters fall back to 1 after a spin without a collect, but the bottom Hunter never resets.

Three Kinds of Boss

Bosses land worth 1x to 5x and take their roles in landing order, row by row. Boss 1 adds every Thug and Boss value on the board to its own. Boss 2 adds its own value to every Thug. Boss 3 picks a group of Thugs from one category and multiplies them from x2 upward, 1x higher for each Thug picked, so three Thugs get x2, x3, and x4 in random order. Kill every Boss, and Raid Spins upgrades to Showdown Spins once its remaining spins have run out.

The Boss in the Middle

Showdown Spins also starts straight from the reels, when a row shows Bonus symbols alongside 3 Scatters. The centre grows to 5×5, the side reels stay 5 rows tall, and the bottom row gets 5 reels. Hard Honcho opens at 6x in the middle, ringed by 12 Thugs in a diamond, and the Hunters work as they do in Raid Spins. The count starts at 3 and returns to 3 when a Thug lands.

Hard Honcho plays one Boss role at a time and can change role between spins. As Boss 1, his value grows and never drops back. As Boss 2, he adds 6x to every Thug. As Boss 3, he multiplies a group of Thugs the way the Raid Boss does. Collect him, and new Thugs fill the empty diamond places for the next spin. The game’s top award is 52,310x.

How to Play

A Wild Three Rows Tall

Bounty Hunters 5x3 board with a braided Bounty Hunter Wild filling reel 3
A fully stacked Bounty Hunter Wild covers reel 3 at x1 as the win display shows 1.8x over 3 ways and a round total of 8.1x.

The Bounty Hunter Wild is 3 rows tall and appears only on reels 2, 3, and 4. If part of it lands, it nudges up or down until the whole figure is on the reel, and each nudge step raises its multiplier by 1. Several on one board combine, with their multipliers summed into one Bounty Hunter Wild total. This is the xNudge in the game’s name, and Nolimit City’s earlier western Tombstone R.I.P. uses the same xNudge and xBet pair.

A full stack on reel 2, 3, or 4 sets off Few Dollars More. Every Bounty Hunter Wild already fully stacked sticks for a respin, and each further full stack during the feature gives another respin. When a hunter lands whole, the reel shows her multiplier at the top and a red WILD tag at the bottom, so a stack is easy to read at a glance.

Symbols pay on 243 ways. A match has to begin on the first reel and continue across adjacent reels, in any row.

The Win Multiplier Meter

The x1 meter above reels 4 and 5 is the win multiplier, and both bonus systems feed it in their own way. In Mexican Standoff, the game multiplies the sticky Wilds’ 6x values into it. In Raid Spins and Showdown Spins, each collect adds the collected value times the Hunter’s multiplier, and a Hunter at 12x adds the most from one Thug.

RTP and Stakes

Nolimit City allows bets up to €100 on Bounty Hunters, down to €0.20. Its RTP of 96.07% is the standard version, with 94.14% and 92.18% as two other versions of the game. This is a high-volatility game, so dry stretches between bonus modes are normal, and big collects are rare.

Bounty Hunters Payouts

The revolver leads at 5x for five, 2.5x for four, and 0.75x for three. The crossed-revolver Wild pays 5x for five and nothing for a shorter run, and it fills a gap in any win apart from the sack of gold. The ammo pouch, the knife and flask, the dynamite, and the bolas fall from 2.5x down to 1.25x for five. The card ranks barely separate, with 1.25x for an A and 1x for the other four, and 0.2x to 0.25x for three. The sack of gold pays nothing by itself, since its job is opening Raid Spins.

Ultimate Slots Verdict

Raid Spins and Showdown Spins lift Bounty Hunters well above its reels, with Thugs that keep their value, Hunters that climb to 12x, and a boss who changes role by spin. The 5x3 in front of them stays plain.

4.1/5 Excellent

✓ What We Like

  • Thugs keep their 1x to 25x values between spins until a Hunter faces them
  • The bottom Hunter's multiplier never resets, so a long Raid round builds toward 12x
  • Mexican Standoff turns one row into a respin duel with 6x sticky Wilds
  • Hard Honcho can act as any of the three Bosses, changing role from spin to spin

✗ What Could Be Better

  • Between bonus modes, the 243-way board tops out at 5x for five revolvers
  • Raid Spins can close after its first 3 spins if no Thug or Boss lands

Detailed Review

Better Once the Reels Go

Bounty Hunters paints a desert at dusk in rust and violet, with iron-grey reels in gold frames and a braided hunter in a wide hat standing 3 rows tall on the middle reels. It’s a handsome frame for a main game that does little. Next to our Wild West slots, it looks right at home, with a revolver, an ammo pouch, a knife and flask, dynamite, and bolas above the card ranks.

Released in July 2023, the game gives its depth to the bonus modes and keeps the 5×3 plain. Nolimit City offers four buys for this game at its own prices: Raid Spins at 100x, Mexican Standoff at 136x, Lucky Draw at 175x, and Showdown Spins at 850x. That last figure is steep for a round that begins with 3 spins, and Raid Spins can close after those first 3 if no Thug or Boss lands. The reels in front are ordinary too, with a regular Wild that pays 5x for five and nothing shorter.

The main game’s one idea is the Bounty Hunter Wild. It always ends in full view, so each one arrives as a whole reel of Wild, and Few Dollars More then keeps earlier full stacks for a respin. That helps, but a hunter who lands complete doesn’t nudge at all and stays at x1. The multiplier only grows when a partial Wild has rows to travel.

Once the reels go, Raid Spins becomes a collect game with real depth. Thugs keep their value while no Hunter faces them. The bottom Hunter never resets, so a long round builds its multiplier toward 12x, while the side Hunters lose theirs after one blank spin. Boss 1 gathers values, Boss 2 feeds its own value to the Thugs, and Boss 3 multiplies a group. A 25x Thug parked out of every Hunter’s line can stay on the board for spin after spin, and the reset to 3 keeps you looking at it. That pull is the round’s hook.

Mexican Standoff is the quicker thrill. It plays out on one row, with both Bonus symbols turned into 6x sticky Wilds and their multipliers multiplied rather than added. Showdown Spins then gives Hard Honcho three personalities, and his switch between roles changes what a spin can do. As Boss 1, he banks value that never resets, and as Boss 2, he lifts every Thug by 6x, so the same diamond can behave very differently on consecutive spins.

This free-play version shows both halves plainly. The main game is thin, and the bonus modes are a proper collect game that deserves the time spent reaching them. That split is the trade, and the bonus side wins this review.

Frequently Asked Questions

Each Hunter takes the nearest Thug or Boss in its line, and the collected value times its multiplier goes onto the win multiplier. The multiplier climbs by 1 after each collect to a limit of 12x. The side Hunters drop back to 1 after a blank spin, while the bottom Hunter in Bounty Hunters never resets.
The trigger is a Bonus symbol at each end of the same row, so the game freezes the other two rows and replays that one. Both Bonus symbols become sticky 6x Wilds, and any further Bonus symbol adds a respin and another 6x Wild that stays until the feature closes.
Bonus symbols on the same row as 3 Scatters start them straight away, and killing every Boss in Raid Spins leads to them once the Raid spins are used up. Hard Honcho starts at 6x in the middle of a 12-Thug diamond and takes one Boss role at a time, changing between spins. As Boss 2, he adds 6x to every Thug.
The bet triples, because xBet costs an extra 200%, and the features become more likely to trigger. The paytable doesn't change, and the RTP moves from 96.07% to 96.24% with xBet on.
