Kenneth Must Die by Nolimit City
A yellow toggle is beside the reels, and it reads 69,000x. Flip it, and the cap becomes 10,000x instead, with xHole, xNudge, and xWays all landing more often in exchange. That switch is the whole idea, and this 2024 slot is built from parts you can watch working. A doll’s house holds five reels at 2-4-4-4-2, a row beneath the middle three stamps x1, x2, and x3 on whatever crosses it, and a black hole waits for the centre of the board. Free play in the demo shows the lot.
How the Demo Works
The Special Row and Big Balls
Under reels 2, 3, and 4 runs a separate row, and every symbol on it carries a Big Balls multiplier. The first is x1, the second x2, the third x3, and up it goes. A symbol splits to match its own number, so an x3 position holds three copies of whatever landed, and the 480 ways move with it. Those multipliers do not reset when a bonus mode starts, which is how the row gets tall.
Kinky Hookup
Kenneth and his wife each have a kinky variant. Land both on the main reels, and the game draws the shortest path between them, converting every symbol along it, all to Wife, all to Kenneth, or all to Wild. Any win already on the board pays first, then the converted board pays what it has made.
Gimp and Gimpier Transform
Land exactly two Gimps, and each one transforms into xWays, an xNudge Wild, a plain Wild, Kenneth, Kinky Kenneth, Wife, or Kinky Wife. The Gimpier only lands on reel 5 and draws from a shorter list, turning into Kinky Kenneth, a Wild, or Kinky Wife. If an avalanche clears either symbol, it respawns in its original position.
xWays and xNudge Wilds
xWays lands on the bottom row and nowhere else. It turns into a paying symbol and shows 2 to 4 of it, each copy taking that position’s Big Balls multiplier. Two xWays show one symbol at one size between them. xNudge Wilds climb instead, and every step upward is another 1 on the win multiplier, with one more for each regular Wild they pass. Multipliers from xNudge Wilds on different reels add together for the round.
xHole
The xHole symbol does nothing unless it lands dead centre of the main reel area. There, it pulls the main reels in and spits them back to random positions, split 2 to 8 wide, and an xNudge Wild caught in the pull returns at a new size and multiplier. Gimp, Gimpier, the Wilds, the kinky pair, and anything already in a win go back to their own positions, with Gimp and Gimpier picking up a multiplier for their split size. Then, the hole becomes a Wild. Nolimit City introduced xHole here.
The Nolimit Booster
A red lightning bolt appears to the right of the reels and turns on the Nolimit Booster. Each round then costs 1.7x and puts a Gimp on reel 2, which is a third of a trigger bought in advance. The stake used for pays does not move with it.
Beefy, Beefier and Beefiest Spins
Three Gimps in the main game start 8 Beefy Spins. The Big Balls multipliers hold for the whole round, and plain Wilds stick where they land.
Three Gimps and a Gimpier start 9 Beefier Spins instead. Everything from Beefy carries on, and the Gimpier and xNudge Wilds stick too.
Add an activated xHole to that trigger, and it becomes 10 Beefiest Spins, where the xHole also returns to its spot at the start of every spin.
Promotions happen inside the round too. A Gimpier during Beefy Spins adds a spin and moves you up to Beefier. If it lands alongside an activated xHole in the same avalanche, you get two spins and jump straight to Beefiest. An activated xHole during Beefier also takes you to Beefiest, with one extra spin.
The buy menu runs from 65x for Beefy Spins to 6,969x for ten Beefiest, with 240x for Beefier in between and two mystery buys that roll the mode for you.
Max Win Choice
That toggle by the reels is the Max Win Choice. Switched on, the cap reads 69,000x. Switched off, the game stops at 10,000x and the odds on xHole, xNudge, and xWays all improve. Picking the lower version changes the maths rather than the artwork, and it moves the buy prices with it. Nolimit City has spent years making its x-mechanics do more work than its paytables, and here the player gets a hand on the dial.
How to Play
Big Balls and the Avalanche
Symbols on the bottom row enter from the right, and the row avalanches only when one of them is part of a paying combination. Winning positions refill from the right, each new arrival taking the highest Big Balls multiplier on the row and adding one. Wins need matching symbols on neighbouring reels, counted from the first reel across, and the number of ways a symbol completes multiplies its pay; where two combinations share a way, the larger one pays. The Wild covers every paying symbol except Gimp, Gimpier, and xHole.
Controls and the Cap Toggle
Bets are set from the coin button at the lower left, which opens the whole range as a grid of tiles rather than a pair of arrows. Rounds begin from the circular arrow on the right, and a settings switch lets the spacebar do it instead.
Settings hold music, sound effects, and that option, and no turbo exists. The red lightning bolt arms the Nolimit Booster, the yellow toggle above it sets the cap, and the menu button opens the rules, the pay table, the round history, and the replay tool.
Nolimit City usually fixes its caps, the figure above the reels being whatever the maths made it. This game hands the decision over, which is why the toggle counts as a control.
Slot RTP
RTP in the demo is 96.04%, and the studio splits that return by where it is paid: 63.3% across the main game and 32.74% inside the Beefy modes. A third of what comes back waits behind three Gimps. Bets begin at €0.20, and €100 is the largest stake the game accepts.
Volatility is marked Extreme on the splash, fair enough on a game willing to cut its own maximum by almost seven times, though both settings get a High rating on this page. Hit the limit either way, and the game calls it Death By Blue Baby.
Symbol Pays
Ten symbols pay across three bands, and none looks like a horror slot until you read what the game does with them. Kenneth heads the table at 2.5x for five, the family falls away fast, and the household objects finish at 0.2x. The ways count, the splits, and the multipliers do the work.
| Symbol | 3 | 4 | 5 |

Ultimate Slots Verdict
Few slots let you rewrite their own maximum before you spin. That one control, a bottom row that keeps stacking multipliers, and a black hole that reshuffles the board make this the most curious thing Nolimit City released in 2024. The paytable is tiny and the flat spells are long, and both come with the territory.
✓ What We Like
- Max Win Choice is a real setting rather than a display option, and the 10,000x version raises xHole, xNudge, and xWays frequency
- xHole reshuffles the main reels into splits of 2 to 8 and finishes as a Wild
- Big Balls multipliers climb x1, x2, x3 and carry into the bonus modes without resetting
- Three ways in at 8, 9, or 10 spins, with promotions available mid-round
- The Nolimit Booster is a cheap, legible shortcut at 1.7x the stake for a Gimp on reel 2
✗ What Could Be Better
- Kenneth pays 2.5x for five, so the main game deals in fractions until the bottom row does something
- The avalanche fires only on special-row wins, which makes flat spells feel longer than 480 ways suggests
Detailed Review
Our Review
Most Nolimit City games hand you one number and dare you to reach it. This one asks which number you want. The 69,000x setting and the 10,000x setting are the same doll’s house with different odds inside, and the lower one swaps a maximum almost seven times smaller for xHole, xNudge, and xWays appearing more often. Nothing else in the studio’s range puts that decision on the front of the machine.
What the choice is on top of is worth sizing up. 480 ways across a 2-4-4-4-2 board is a narrow start for 2024, and Kenneth at 2.5x for five is a small top pay measured even against the studio’s own range. The return appears in the bottom row, where an x1 becomes an x2 becomes an x3 and each figure splits its symbol, and in xNudge multipliers that add across reels.
xHole is the piece that earns the theme. A symbol lands in the middle, the board vanishes into it, and what comes back is split 2 to 8 wide with a Wild where the hole was. In Beefiest Spins, it reappears every spin, which turns a ten-spin round into ten reshuffles. That is the version everything else on the board points at, and opening it from the main game takes three Gimps, a Gimpier, and an activated xHole.
The counterweight is how little happens between those rounds. Fractions come back in the main game, the avalanche fires only when the bottom row is involved, and flat spells leave the multipliers stuck at x1 and x2. Players who find that wearing have a lighter option in Gator Hunters, from the same studio; this one was never built to be comfortable.
Two years on from release, the toggle is still what separates Kenneth Must Die from its neighbours. Everything else it does, it does at the far end of the studio’s catalogue, which is where its players already are.
