Magic

Magic covers a lot of ground on this site, from wizards and fortune tellers to fairy-tale princes and anime princesses. What ties the games together is the spell rather than the setting.

Wizards, Princesses and Fortune Tellers

Wizards make up the biggest group. Quickspin’s Blue Wizard, Playtech’s Red Wizard games and Storm Gaming’s Magic Merlin Megaways, which reaches 50,000x, all put a spellcaster at the centre, and The Wizard of Oz: I’ll Get You My Pretty adds a film licence. Anime-style princesses are the other big strand, led by Pragmatic Play’s Starlight Princess 1000 and Starlight Princess Super Scatter, with Play’n GO’s Moon Princess and Hacksaw’s Sun Princess close behind. Fortune tellers get a look in too, through Madame Destiny and its Megaways follow-up.

Older titles show how long the theme has been around. Enchanted Prince dates from 2013 and Pixies of the Forest from 2012, from a time when magic on the reels mostly meant fairy tales. If it’s spellcasters you’re after, the Wizard theme narrows the list.
