Fist of Destruction Demo Overview

Fist of Destruction splash with the FIGHT!, BONUS GAMES and MAX WIN cards
The masked ninja in blue and the blond fighter in red stand either side of three cards, FIGHT!, BONUS GAMES and MAX WIN, and the left-hand card shows a blue Fist column rising beside the bearded brawler.

The four fighters in the Fist of Destruction demo are paying symbols, but they matter more as targets. Every Fist that lands is either red or blue, and when it rises up its reel it only gets stronger by hitting Wilds or fighters from the other team. A blue Fist that climbs past the bearded brawler and the blond fighter picks up two multipliers. The same Fist climbing past the masked ninja picks up nothing, because he’s on its side.

The slot dates to February 2024 at Hacksaw Gaming, and its splash sets up the fight before a spin. The masked ninja stands on an electric-blue half with lightning running up his arms, facing the blond, bearded fighter in a red headband on the fire-red half.

Gameplay Options

Fists That Rise

Fist of Destruction reels with a blue Fist Wild Reel on reel 3
A blue Fist rises from the third row of reel 3 to the top for a 0.6x win, with an FS scatter showing on reel 2.

A Fist rises from the square it lands on to the top of its reel, turning that stretch of the reel into a Wild Reel. It only moves when that Wild Reel would complete a win, so a Fist that couldn’t join a win stays on its square as one symbol. On the way up, each fighter from the opposing team and each Wild it punches adds a multiplier to the reel, anywhere from 2x to 200x.

A risen Fist reel takes the place of any paying symbol, and so does the red W on its steel octagon.

Throwdown! Rounds

Three FS scatters start the Throwdown! Bonus, 10 free spins that keep every rule above and add a contest between the two teams, Red and Blue, both starting at Victory Level 3+. Whenever a Fist punches a fighter from the other side, or a Wild, its team scores a Victory Point, and a team that reaches three points wins a respin with the Epic Drop and climbs one Victory Level. The Epic Drop brings Fists of the winning colour onto the board, at least 3 at level 3+, at least 4 at level 4+, and exactly 5 at level 5+, so the guarantee grows as a team keeps scoring, up to 5. Fists that land in an Epic Drop don’t score toward the next level.

Four scatters start the Ultimate Throwdown! Bonus instead. It’s the same round and the same spin count, with both teams starting at 4+, so each team’s Epic Drops start at 4 Fists or more.

Bonus Buy

Fist of Destruction bonus buy panel with five options
Gloved fists tagged 3+ and 4+ appear on the 50x Uppercut and 150x Epic Drop cards, while the 3x, 100x and 250x cards show FS scatter art instead.

In free play, the buy menu splits into three per-spin settings and two bonuses. The settings are graded by how many Fists they promise. BonusHunt FeatureSpins at 3x a spin promises none and multiplies the bonus chance by five, Uppercut at 50x lands at least 3 Fists per spin, and Epic Drop at 150x lands at least 4, sharing its name with the bonus respin. Once activated, a setting stays on until you disable it. The two bonuses are graded by where the teams start, the Throwdown! Bonus at 100x from Victory Level 3+ and the Ultimate Throwdown! Bonus at 250x from 4+.

How to Play

Team Colours

The masked ninja and the white-haired masked woman fight for Blue, and the bearded brawler and the blond fighter fight for Red. A Fist rising past a fighter from the other team, or past a Wild, adds a multiplier to its reel, while one rising past its own team adds nothing. A Fist’s colour shows its team, and the fighters’ portrait rings follow suit, warm colours for Red and cool ones for Blue. Each reel holds one Fist at a time.

Stormforged’s Hand of Surtur travels the other way, tearing down its reel to a Portal that acts as a wild and taking its multiplier from a Wild it passes. A Fist climbs instead, and the other team’s fighters feed it as well as the Wilds.

Wins pay on 14 fixed lines, each starting on reel 1. Clicking a fighter’s miniature above the grid changes who stands beside the reels, and nothing else about the game.

Bet Range

The bet moves between €0.10 and €100.

RTP is 96.3%, and every buy price on the menu is a multiple of whatever bet you set.

Paytable

Only the fighters and the Wild pay more than 2x for five, and the Wild pays nothing for three or four.

Symbol 3 4 5
Blond fighter (Red) 1x 3x 10x
Masked ninja (Blue) 1x 3x 10x
Bearded brawler (Red) 0.5x 2x 5x
White-haired masked woman (Blue) 0.5x 2x 5x
A, K, Q, J, 10 0.1x 0.5x 2x
Wild (red W) – – 10x

Each team has one 10x fighter and one 5x fighter, so neither colour pays better than the other.

Ultimate Slots Verdict

Its line pays are thin, with a 10x best line and card ranks that all pay alike, and the two bonuses differ by one starting level. What lifts Fist of Destruction is the team rule. A Fist only grows by punching Wilds or fighters of the other colour, so the ninja and the white-haired woman power a red Fist, and the brawler and the blond fighter a blue one, and in the bonuses those punches score points that pay out in guaranteed Fists. A plain-looking line slot ends up asking you to read every Fist.

3.9/5 Very Good

✓ What We Like

  • The team rule gives each fighter symbol a second job, so the colour of the fighters above a Fist matters as much as what they pay.
  • Victory Points turn both bonuses into a race whose prize is an Epic Drop of at least 3, at least 4, or exactly 5 Fists in the winning colour.
  • The art commits to its fighting-game theme, from the split red-and-blue splash to card ranks painted as graffiti on wooden planks.

✗ What Could Be Better

  • Line pays stay small, and the five card ranks all pay exactly the same.
  • A Fist that lands without a win to join stays one symbol, even under a stack of opposing fighters.
  • The Ultimate Throwdown! Bonus changes only the starting Victory Level, so the two bonuses play very alike.

Detailed Review

Red Corner, Blue Corner

The fighters are drawn like a 90s arcade roster, with headbands, hand wraps, and masks in the loud inked style of martial arts posters, set against a backstreet of brick and traffic cones behind a board of splintered planks. The Fist is a gloved fist in a hazard-striped frame. Read as a plain line slot, the game is thin. Two fighters share the top pay, two share the next, and the five card ranks are level at 2x for five. Read by colour, the same board turns into a map of which Fist can use which fighter, and that map is the game.

The multipliers come from the punches. A Fist that lands low, under two or three fighters from the other side, collects a multiplier from each one. A Fist only counts what is above it, so the best landing is low on a reel, and the best reel is one stacked with the other team. The same rule is the game’s weak spot. A Fist needs a finished win before it moves, so a blue Fist on the bottom row under a stack of red fighters can land and stay put because no line would complete through it. Watching that stings, because the team rule makes it plain exactly what the Fist would have collected.

The Throwdown! rounds take that colour rule and keep score with it. Punches become Victory Points, points become Epic Drop respins, and each respin arrives with more guaranteed Fists as the team climbs. That turns a symbol rule into a race with a running score. Epic Drop Fists don’t score toward the next level, so one lucky respin can’t carry a team straight to the top. With two points scored, the next punch on the other team or a Wild brings the respin. The two bonuses are too alike, though. The Ultimate version starts both teams one level higher and changes nothing else, so the bigger price on the menu buys a head start on the same round, and that sameness costs it most in our review.

If you like reading a board, the team rule turns every landing Fist into a small puzzle about colour, and the colours soon show which fighters each side needs. Anyone after a deep paytable or two bonuses that feel unlike each other will find less in Fist of Destruction, and that is the main mark against it.

Frequently Asked Questions

The bearded brawler and the blond fighter, both on the Red team, give a blue Fist a multiplier each time it rises past one, and any Wild in its path does the same. The masked ninja and the white-haired masked woman are Blue, so rising past them adds nothing.
In the two Fist of Destruction bonuses, a team scores a Victory Point each time one of its Fists punches a fighter from the other team or a Wild. Three points give that team a respin with an Epic Drop of at least 3, at least 4, or exactly 5 Fists in its colour, depending on its Victory Level, and move it up one level. Fists from the Epic Drop itself don't count toward the next level.
A Fist rises only when the Wild Reel it would form completes at least one win. If no win would form, it stays on its square as a single symbol and adds no multiplier.
Fist of Destruction's Ultimate Throwdown! Bonus changes just one thing, the starting Victory Level, which is 4+ for both teams instead of 3+. So its first Epic Drop guarantees at least 4 Fists, and the spin count stays at 10.
Picking a fighter changes only who stands beside the reels. The choice has no effect on what lands or what pays.
