About Game

Fluffy Favourites Remastered Demo

Eyecon redrew Fluffy Favourites in July 2022 and left the maths alone. The Remastered build uses the same 25 lines as the 2006 game, the same ladder from 200x down to 0.08x, the same Elephant scatters for 15, 20, or 25 free games, and the same 15-retrigger limit. One word changed, and it is the name of the bonus: the Toybox Pick became Grab A Fluffy and behaves exactly as it always did. What the newer build offers is the artwork and the client, a thinner proposition than a sequel but an honest one.

Remastered Slot Features

Grab A Fluffy

The Claw is the second scatter and returns nothing on its own. Land three or more anywhere, and the pick screen opens, awarding “one pick for each scattered Claw symbol in the triggering combination”, so a five-Claw trigger buys five goes at the machine rather than one larger prize. Each pick can return as much as 100x the round’s total wager, and the values are summed before play goes back to the reels. That 100x is the largest single figure the rules quote. They state no maximum win for the game at all, which is the position the 2006 original takes as well, so the remaster gained a name here and not a cap.

Free Games

Retriggers stop at 15, and that limit sets the outer edge of how long one visit to the free games can run. Reaching it starts with 3, 4, or 5 Elephants for 15, 20, or 25 games, then three more Elephants for every extension. Line prizes pay at triple value throughout, which is where the round’s range comes from, and the 25 lines and the wager carry over unchanged from the game that set it off. The Elephant is doing two jobs at once, since it is also the substitute, so a trigger that leaves wilds standing is worth more than the scatter count alone suggests.

The Pink Elephant

One symbol carries the substitution, the doubling, and the free-games trigger. The pink Elephant covers the rest of the toy set, with the Claw scatter the single exception, and any line it completes pays double. On a 25-line board, that doubling earns more than it looks like it should, because one Elephant can be in several winning lines at once. It appears in a gold frame when it acts as a wild and plain when it counts as a scatter, one piece of art doing both jobs. Three of them anywhere open the round, so the tile you want mid-spin is the tile you want for the feature too.

The Redrawn Toy Set

Fluffy Favourites Remastered base game showing the redrawn plush toy symbols on a 5x3 grid
The repainted toy set on its brighter hill, with the 200x hippo, the 40x dragon and the 4x clownfish sharing one board under the circus tents. Aesthetically, it’s a huge improvement on the original.

The redraw is the product. Every toy has been repainted with softer shading and rounder edges; the hill behind the reels is brighter, and the circus tents and the rainbow that used to be flat in the backdrop now have depth. The green scroll frame around the grid is unchanged, and so is the symbol order, so anyone who knows the original reads this board without thinking. Fluffy Too, Fluffy Favourites Fairground, and Fluffy in Space each took the series somewhere new; this one takes it nowhere and looks better standing still. It is an animal slot in the plainest sense, and the most current-looking game in the family using the oldest set of numbers in it.

The Anniversary Copy

Eyecon’s own copy sells the project as a celebration of 15 years of Fluffy, which dates the anniversary to 2021 against a 2006 original. The demo itself reached players in July 2022, so the milestone the marketing chose had already passed by the time the game arrived. That is a footnote rather than a fault, though it fits the rest of the release, which is a careful piece of maintenance on a title Eyecon has no reason to redesign. Two decades of familiarity are the asset here, and the redraw protects that instead of testing it.

How to Play

The 25 Lines

The LINES slider runs to 25 with a MAX LINES button beside it, so the lines are adjustable rather than welded open. Everything on the newer client is a tap target: the spin arrow and the coin stack are under the reels, the bet panel opens behind the coin stack with a bet-per-line slider above the lines slider, and the game menu is behind the hamburger in the corner. Combinations read left to right, a line pays its best combination and nothing more, and wins on separate lines are added. That last rule earns its keep here, because a single Elephant can complete two lines through one tile.

Bets and RTP

The rules give the return as 95.388%, and that figure is what makes the remaster a curiosity rather than an upgrade. It matches the 2006 Fluffy Favourites to three decimal places, and so do the ladder, the trigger table, and the retrigger limit, which leaves the artwork and the client as the only differences between the two demos. Neither shell shows a minimum or a maximum bet, so what you stake is whatever the per-line slider and the line count multiply out to.

The Remastered Paytable is the Same

Two symbols pay from a pair, the hippo and the dragon, and every toy below them needs three. Five hippos return 200x and five dragons 40x, both measured against the total bet once converted from the per-line wager the rules quote. The step from the hippo’s 20x for four to the dragon’s 4x is the steepest drop on the sheet, which is why the top row carries the game.

Symbol 2 3 4 5
Hippo 0.4x 4x 20x 200x
Dragon 0.2x 1.2x 4x 40x
Monkey 0.08x 0.6x 3x 20x
Panda 0.08x 0.6x 3x 20x
Lion 0.4x 1.6x 12x
Turtle 0.4x 1.6x 12x
Giraffe 0.2x 1.2x 8x
Rhino 0.2x 1.2x 8x
Duck 0.12x 0.6x 4x
Clownfish 0.12x 0.6x 4x

Ultimate Slots Verdict

A 2022 redraw of a 2006 machine whose only new word is the name of the bonus. The art is better and the phone client is better, while the 95.388% return, the 25 lines, and the 15-retrigger limit are the original's exactly. Worth free play if you have never met the toys, and skippable if you have.

3/5 Good

What We Like

  • The 2022 redraw is a real art pass, with softer shading on every toy and depth in the fairground backdrop
  • Grab A Fluffy scales with its trigger, awarding one pick per Claw at up to 100x a pick
  • Free games pay line prizes at triple value and can be extended up to 15 times
  • The pink Elephant doubles any line it completes as well as opening the free games
  • Both scatters count from anywhere on the grid, so triggers never depend on reel position

What Could Be Better

  • Nothing in the maths is new, from the ladder to the trigger counts to the retrigger limit
  • Operators can run a 93% build alongside the 95% one, and the demo only shows the figure it is serving
  • Below the hippo, the sheet falls away fast, with the dragon at 40x for five and the bottom two toys at 4x

Detailed Review

Fluffy Favourites Remastered Demo Experience

95.388% frames this release. It is the return of the 2006 original’s features, and the remaster reproduces them to a decimal point, which tells you what kind of project this was. The ladder, the trigger counts, the triple-on-line prizes, and the 15-retrigger limit all arrived in 2006, and the 2022 build inherits every one of them without an edit.

It’s the Same Engine

One engine is under Fluffy Favourites, Fluffy Too, and Fluffy Favourites Fairground as well as this game, a 25-line board with a doubling substitute, a scatter-count free-games table, and a pick bonus on a second scatter, and the remaster does not deviate from it anywhere. Much of the Eyecon demo catalogue reuses that skeleton with fresh art on top.

The case for the remaster is the client. The 2006 build was made for desktop browsers and shows it as such, whereas this one is built for a handset, with the sliders and the menu where a thumb expects them, and toys that retain their detail at small sizes. If you are opening a Fluffy game on a phone in free play, this is the better version of the same game, and that is a real reason for its existence.

What it will not do is give anyone who already knows the family a new reason to sit down. This review scores the redraw rather than the design, because the design was settled twenty years ago and nothing in 2022 argued with it.

Frequently Asked Questions

The artwork and the client. Every number carried over intact, from the 25 lines and the pay ladder to the trigger counts and the retrigger limit, and the only rename is the Toybox Pick, which is now called Grab A Fluffy.
One for each Claw scatter in the triggering combination, so 3, 4, or 5 Claws give that many picks. Each pick can be worth as much as 100x, and Fluffy Favourites Remastered totals them before returning you to the reels.
The pink Elephant. It covers the whole toy set with the Claw scatter as the one exception, any line it completes pays double, and three of them anywhere start the free games.
It is, to three decimal places. The redraw left the return alone, which is why the remaster plays as a visual refresh rather than a new release.
Up to 15 retriggers, each one needing three more Elephants. A run starting on five scatters therefore begins at 25 games and can be extended 15 times before the limit stops it.
No, both count from anywhere on the 5x3 grid. That is why a Fluffy Favourites Remastered trigger can arrive on a spin with no line win showing at all.
