Coins of Fortune Demo by Nolimit City

Coins of Fortune splash screen with the Dragon Nudge and Lucky Respin panels
A golden dragon mask fronts the Dragon Nudge panel while gold square-hole coins spill over the Lucky Respin panel, with neon towers rising on both sides.

Neon signs glow on the towers either side of a teal pagoda roof, and under that roof the Coins of Fortune demo lays out five reels of animal heads and metal coins. Nolimit City released this slot in June 2018, and on the surface it keeps things plain, with 20 fixed lines, three rows and no free spins. There is no feature buy and no booster to set before a round, so both features arrive from the reels.

A red dragon, a gold phoenix, a blue tiger, and a green dragon make up the top symbols. Below them come six coins, three marked with a triangle and three with plain rings, and the reels use 12 symbols in all. The gold coin with a square hole, set on a red lattice tile, is the symbol to follow. It triggers the main feature as a Scatter, it counts as a Wild on the lines, and during Lucky Respin it walks one reel left on each respin until it drops into a collector beside the reels. That collector has three empty slots, and they are there from the moment the board loads.

A Dragon Down the Reel

A stack of three matching symbols on one reel starts the Dragon Nudge, so this trigger comes from a single column instead of from Scatters. The game respins, and a golden dragon overlay covers the reel where the three landed. That overlay is the Dragon Wild. On each further respin, it slides one row lower, and the rows it still covers keep filling in for other symbols on the lines.

Nolimit City gives the mode three respins. Any further Dragon Nudge during them lengthens the run, and the rules allow more than one Dragon Wild on the reels together.

Lucky Respin

Three Slots for Banked Coins

Three or more gold coins anywhere on the reels start Lucky Respin. Each coin turns sticky, and each respin moves every coin one reel to the left. The respins keep coming while a coin is still on the reels. A coin that steps off the edge of reel 1 drops into the three-slot collector next to it, and every third coin banked lifts the win multiplier by one step, as far as x10.

While they walk, the coins go on working the lines. The Scatter that opened the round is also the symbol that completes other symbols’ combinations, so each step left moves a Wild onto a new reel. A coin that lands far to the right has more steps to take before it is banked, and its position on the trigger spin shapes how long the respins run.

Of the game’s 96.48% RTP, 65.24 comes from the respin features and 31.24 from the main game.

Coins From a Dragon

The Dragon Nudge still fires during Lucky Respin, but it changes form. Three matching symbols on one reel no longer bring the dragon overlay. They add three overlay Scatter coins instead, and as Scatters those coins follow the same rules as the rest, walking left toward the collector and counting toward the next multiplier step.

How to Play

The Basics

Coins of Fortune reels with three ring coins lit on a line and three empty collector slots
Three glowing ring coins complete a line through reels 1, 2 and 3, worth 0.25x, while the three collector slots to the left of the reels stay empty.

Each of the 20 fixed lines pays for three, four, or five matching symbols on adjacent reels, anchored on the first reel. Only the highest combination on a line counts, while wins from different lines add together.

Two symbols act as Wilds. The gold coin is a Scatter that also substitutes on the lines, and the Dragon Wild arrives only as the overlay from a Dragon Nudge. The nudging Wild, later branded xNudge, is still in use in Das xBoot 2wei, released in December 2025.

Bet Range

The coin-stack button at the bottom of the screen, next to the sound icon, opens the bet menu, a set of fixed amounts. Its lowest entry is €0.20, and the highest Nolimit City allows on the game is €100. The round button with three lines, just above, opens the game menu. A gear icon there leads to three settings toggles, for music, for sound effects, and for starting a spin with the spacebar. Along the bottom edge, the screen shows the current bet on the left, the last win in the middle, and the balance on the right.

The clock icon opens the game history. It lists past rounds, sorts them by time or by win, puts a replay button beside each one, and fetches the next 100 rounds on request. Further down the menu, the Nolimit Winners panel replays the best rounds, yours or other players’, for this game or across all Nolimit City games.

Paytable

The red dragon head leads the table at 25x for five, 4x for four, and 1x for three. The phoenix, tiger, and green dragon follow at 20x, 15x, and 10x for five. The coins fall into two flat bands. All three triangle coins pay the same at every length, and so do the three ring coins, whose three-of-a-kind is the smallest pay in the table. Neither Wild has a row.

Symbol 3 4 5
Red dragon 1x 4x 25x
Gold phoenix 0.75x 3.5x 20x
Blue tiger 0.6x 3x 15x
Green dragon 0.5x 2.5x 10x
Triangle coins (red, blue, green) 0.4x 1.5x 6.25x
Ring coins (gold, silver, bronze) 0.25x 1.25x 5x

Ultimate Slots Verdict

A gold coin that triggers Lucky Respin, fills gaps on the lines, and then banks toward a x10 multiplier as it walks off reel 1 answers whether a 2018 line slot with no free spins still deserves a look. It does. The Dragon Nudge adds a second respin with its own trigger, and the two features meet when a Dragon Nudge fires mid-feature and adds coins. The pay table is short at the top and flat among the coins, and the lines between features pay small amounts, but the coin alone justifies a few demo rounds.

Hits What we like

  • The gold coin triggers Lucky Respin, fills in on the lines, and feeds a multiplier that climbs to x10 as coins walk off the reels
  • Dragon Nudge needs only one reel filled by three identical symbols, giving the second respin feature a trigger that owes nothing to Scatters
  • A Dragon Nudge during Lucky Respin becomes three extra coins for the collector

Misses What could be better

  • Five red dragon heads pay 25x, so line wins stay small outside the respins
  • Six coin symbols share two flat bands in the pay table, adding little variety to line wins
  • No free spins, buy, or booster, so the two respin features are all there is between ordinary rounds

Detailed Review

The Coin Is the Wild

Nolimit City dressed this one as a city at night. Towers glow with neon signage on both sides, and red-and-gold cloud scrolls curl around a logo with a jade coin at its centre. The neon towers and the pagoda roof over the reels put a futuristic twist on an Asian setting. The symbols follow the same line, four animal heads in deep colours above six metal coins. The gold square-hole coin on its red lattice tile is drawn to catch the eye first, and it deserves to. At launch, Per Lindheimer described the idea as classic Asian lore placed in a futuristic environment, and the screen matches that brief closely.

Is a 2018 game with 20 lines and no free spins worth opening now? For Lucky Respin, yes. The coin does three jobs in sequence. It starts the feature as a Scatter, it fills gaps on the lines as a Wild while it walks, and it counts toward the multiplier once it leaves reel 1. The round lasts exactly as long as coins remain on the reels, so where they landed on the trigger spin sets its length. Nothing needs explaining twice, and each respin shows the whole state of the feature: coins, collector, and multiplier together.

Two Features Tied Together

The Dragon Nudge adds a second trigger that has nothing to do with Scatters. Three of a symbol stacked on one reel is enough, and the dragon overlay then slides down that reel a row at a time. During Lucky Respin, the same trigger adds three coins instead, which ties the two features together and makes a stacked reel worth noticing in both.

Against that, the pay table is short. Five red dragon heads pay 25x, the phoenix, tiger, and green dragon trail it, and the six coins fall into two flat bands far below. Neither Wild has a pay of its own, so a coin on the lines only ever completes other symbols’ wins. On 20 lines, the main game pays small amounts while the respins supply the bigger results. The 6,015x maximum belongs to a medium-volatility slot, so this is a slot for steady free play, and anyone after one enormous round will find the numbers against them.

Good Respin Design

The respin design plays on anticipation directly. With one coin left, each respin moves it a step closer to the edge of reel 1, and the feature stops once it leaves, so the final respins feel longer than the first. Two coins on the same reel leave on the same respin, and each departure brings the collector nearer its next third.

Load it for the coin. The lines around it are ordinary, and without Lucky Respin this review would land far lower.

Frequently Asked Questions

Each gold coin in Coins of Fortune turns sticky and moves one reel left per respin, and when it steps off reel 1 it drops into the three-slot collector beside the reels. Every third coin collected raises the win multiplier one step, up to x10, and the respins continue for as long as any coin is still on the reels.
A reel stacked with three identical symbols starts it, with no Scatter needed. A golden Dragon Wild overlay covers that reel and moves down one row on each respin. The mode gives three respins, and another Dragon Nudge during them extends it.
It adds three overlay Scatter coins instead of the dragon overlay. They walk left and reach the collector like the other coins, so they count toward the next multiplier step.
