About Game

Chaos Crew 2 Overview

What does 200x buy in Chaos Crew 2 that 100x doesn’t? In the Chaos Crew 2 demo, the buy panel answers it card by card. The single Bonus plays once. The Best of Bonus plays the whole Bonus three times, one round after another, with each total chalked up on a scoreboard beside the grid. Just the top total of the three pays out. The pricier card also wears the calmer volatility label of the two, and the Super Bonus pair repeats the same arrangement further up the price list.

September 2023 brought the slot as the second game in the Chaos Crew series at Hacksaw Gaming, following Chaos Crew. A blue-green cat in a skeleton T-shirt holds a baseball bat to the left of the reels, and a hooded green skull reaper grips a scythe on the right, both against a graffiti wall with PANIC sprayed behind the grid.

Bonus Features

Sticky and Epic

Three BONUS! scatters start the Bonus, and the grid changes character. Only non-paying tags and multiplier symbols land, and a multiplier above each of the five reels starts at 1x. Sketchy Skulls add their value to that number, anywhere from 1x to 100x, while Cranky Cats multiply it by x2, x3, x4, x5, x10, or x20.

Each of the two comes in four forms, eight symbols in all. A plain Skull or Cat works once. A Sticky one stays on the grid and works again on each later spin. An Epic one reaches all five reels instead of its own, and an Epic Sticky one keeps doing that to all five until the Bonus ends. The round runs on 3 lives, one spin apiece, and the count resets whenever a multiplier symbol lands. Three straight spins without one close it out. The game then sums the five reel numbers and pays the total times the bet.

Best of Bonus

The Best of Bonus plays three complete Bonus rounds back to back, logs each total on a scoreboard beside the grid, and pays out the highest.

No purchase is needed to reach it. A BEST OF BONUS scatter landing with three BONUS! scatters starts it, and the same scatter landing with four starts the Best of Super Bonus instead, so the scatter route in free play leads to both. The same format appears in 2 Wild 2 Die, whose Best of Most Wanted! plays its lives bonus three times over, keeps each result on a scoreboard, and pays the top one.

Super Bonus

Four BONUS! scatters open the Super Bonus. It follows the Bonus rules with one change, made to the opening spin, which brings at least 7 multiplier symbols onto the grid. A Best of Super Bonus plays that loaded start three times.

Bonus Buy Panel

Chaos Crew 2 bonus buy panel with six options
A sprayed BEST OF BONUS badge marks the two Best of cards, priced at 200x and 500x, beside the single Bonus at 100x and the Super Bonus at 250x.

The buy panel sets each round next to its Best of version. The Bonus costs 100x under a Very high label, and the Best of Bonus costs 200x under High; the Super Bonus costs 250x under Very high, and the Best of Super Bonus 500x under High. In both pairs, paying double for three rounds moves the label down a step. Alongside them are two per-spin settings, BonusHunt and Epic Drop FeatureSpins, at 5x and 200x a spin. The cheaper one raises the bonus chance tenfold and wears the menu’s one Extreme label, and the pricier one makes each paid spin an Epic Drop with at least 15 multiplier symbols.

How to Play

Epic Drop Spins

Chaos Crew 2 reels with a x3 Cranky Cat on reel 2
A x3 Cranky Cat on reel 2 completes a dice line worth 1.5x, as the cat with the bat looks on from the left and the reaper with the scythe from the right.

At the start of any regular spin, Chaos Crew 2 can switch into the Bonus for that one spin, and at least five multiplier symbols drop in and hand over their values. The spin after it is an ordinary one again, unless another Epic Drop starts. That puts the Bonus’s multiplier symbols into regular play without scatters or a buy.

Away from those spins, the Cranky Cat is the multiplier in play. It’s a wild that multiplies the win it joins by x2 up to x20, and two or more in one win multiply together, while wins run along 19 set lines that begin at reel 1. Its multiplier applies only to wins it is part of, so a Cat that completes a short dice or heart line lifts that line’s pay by its own multiplier.

The regular symbols are sprayed tags and stickers. Five low ones share one pay level, an orange heart, a green x-eyed smiley, a blue winged ball, a red anarchy A, and a blue 8-ball, and five higher ones rank above them, two pairs and one symbol on top. The BONUS! scatter is yellow lettering on a purple sticker splashed with green, and the BEST OF BONUS scatter is a black-and-green sticker on a pink one. Both land only during regular play, and three or four BONUS! scatters at once, with or without the Best of scatter beside them, are what send the game into one of its four rounds.

Stake Limits

The game sets €0.10 and €50 as the two ends of the bet.

The RTP is 96.27%. The six buy cards are priced in multiples of the chosen bet, so their costs move with it, and the line pays in the paytable follow the same bet.

Demo Paytable

Line pays climb in steps. The five tags share the lowest row of values, the dice and the tongue-out mouth come next, the purple lightning smiley and the diamond share the level above, and the eye-in-pyramid is alone at the head of the regular symbols. With 0.1x for three of the lowest tags at the bottom, the table is short on range.

Symbol 3 4 5
Cranky Cat (Wild) – – 20x
Eye-in-pyramid 2x 5x 10x
Purple lightning smiley, diamond 1x 3x 7.5x
Dice, tongue-out mouth 0.5x 2x 5x
Orange heart, green x-eyed smiley, blue winged ball, red anarchy A, blue 8-ball 0.1x 0.5x 2x

No other symbol reaches the Cat’s 20x, and neither the BONUS! nor the BEST OF BONUS scatter pays anything.

Ultimate Slots Verdict

Players who want a bonus with several layers get the most from Chaos Crew 2, since every round has a second version and the Best of cards turn 200x into three full Bonus rounds with only the best one paid, under a calmer label. Players after big line pays will find the table tops out at 20x.

4.3/5 Excellent

✓ What We Like

  • Sticky Skulls and Cats keep working on each later spin, and Epic Skulls and Cats reach all five reels at once.
  • A Best of round plays the Bonus three times and pays only the highest total, at twice the single Bonus price.
  • Epic Drop can turn any regular spin into a one-spin Bonus with at least five multiplier symbols.
  • Sprayed-tag symbols, a graffiti wall and the cat and reaper beside the grid give the series a strong identity.

✗ What Could Be Better

  • A Bonus ends after three straight spins without a multiplier symbol, even with all five reels still at 1x.
  • The best regular symbol, the eye-in-pyramid, pays 10x for a full line before any Cat multiplier.
  • Two scatter kinds, four bonus names, and six buy options make the menu the hardest part of the game to learn.

Detailed Review

A Scoreboard Beside the Grid

Chaos Crew 2 allows a win of up to 20,000x the bet, yet the richest line on its paytable pays 20x, and that line is five Cranky Cats. The Bonus is where five reel numbers grow from 1x under the Skulls and Cats, and everything else in the game points toward that round.

Each part of that bonus has a second version, and the design is better for it. Plain multipliers work once and Sticky ones keep working. Standard ones touch one reel and Epic ones touch all five. The Super Bonus is the Bonus with a loaded opening spin, and each Best of round is either bonus played three times with only the best total kept. That last idea changes how the round lands emotionally. One Bonus can die after three blank spins with every reel still at 1x, and the lives system makes that flat ending possible whenever three scatters start one; a Best of round gives two more chances before anything is paid, and the buy panel prices that at double and rates it a step calmer. No other detail on the panel says as much about the design, and it deserves a review’s closest attention.

The Reaper’s Hacksaw Hoodie

The look is loud and consistent. The cat’s skeleton T-shirt and the reaper’s HACKSAW hoodie give the pair a comic-book swagger, drawn in thick outlines against a graffiti wall in greens and purples, with the board framed in purple spray paint and the lower pays drawn as tags. The Cranky Cat symbol is a snarling cat head with its multiplier across its teeth, and once the Bonus starts, the tags give way to non-paying tiles scrawled with SAW, SCAM, and HACK, with each reel’s running multiplier shown above it.

The costs are real. Between triggers, line wins stay low unless a Cat or an Epic Drop joins in. Three blank spins in a row can also end a Bonus before a single Sticky symbol lands, and in a single Bonus nothing rescues a round that starts that way. Two scatter kinds, four round names, and six cards also make for a crowded menu. Once the menu makes sense, though, very little on it is there for show.

Frequently Asked Questions

It plays three full Bonus rounds in a row and pays out just the highest of them, with a scoreboard beside the grid keeping the three totals. The buy panel also labels it High, one step below the single Bonus's Very high.
They stay on the grid after landing and apply their value to their reel's multiplier again on the spins that follow, adding for a Skull and multiplying for a Cat. The Epic Sticky versions do the same to all five reels at once.
Chaos Crew 2 can trigger one at random as any regular spin begins, and that spin plays as the Bonus with at least five multiplier symbols dropping in. The next spin is regular again unless a second Epic Drop starts.
