About Game

Punk Rocker 2 Demo

Four years after the first Punk Rocker, the sequel moved the riot from London to New York and doubled the series’ maximum payout. That is the headline, and it is a fair one. What actually changes how this slot plays, though, is the pair of trains that run above and below the reels once free spins start, dropping multipliers, extra spins, and Wilds onto whichever reel a Jumping Wild has landed on. Nolimit City makes plenty of loud games. This is the one whose noise runs to a timetable, and free play in the Punk Rocker 2 demo lets you watch the whole thing assemble itself.

Slot Features

xWays and the Super Expand

An xWays symbol holds 2 to 4 of the same symbol behind it, and every xWays on screen reveals the same one. Expand it to 4 high in the main game, and it can super expand to 20 high, which is how a board that starts at 729 ways can reach 46,656 of them. Within free spins, the reveal works differently, landing 4 high with 4, 6, or 8 matching symbols packed in. The graffiti art is as loud as anything you will find among the site’s rock slots, and the xWays frames are drawn to match it.

Riot Spins

Two Bonus stars are enough to start something here. They convert into Molotov Wilds, lock their reels, and hand you a respin, and every reel carrying a Wild locks with them. Land another Bonus during the respins, and it pays out first, then becomes a Molotov Wild of its own and buys you one more spin of whatever is still moving. It is the cheapest way into the Wilds this game has.

DisOBEY, ChAos and Mass Transit Barbeque

A third Bonus symbol takes you into 8 DisOBEY Spins, played with 3 Jumping Wilds and the Top Train running above the reels (the studio charges 100x to 3,000x the stake to enter these rounds directly). A fourth Bonus opens ChAos instead, 8 spins with a fourth Jumping Wild and both trains in service. A fifth gets you Mass Transit Barbeque, again 8 spins with four Wilds and both trains, and this time a burning cart stops at a reel every single spin. Climb from one round into a better one, and you collect 2 extra spins on the way.

Train Enhancers

A train hands out its enhancer when a Jumping Wild lands on the same reel. The Top Train can drop a Wild Multiplier, an xWays, Molotov Wilds, extra spins, a board where all six reels stand 6 high, an upgrade to the next round, or the Bottom Train itself. The Bottom Train is shorter on options and heavier on payload, offering Wild Multipliers, extra spins, and a Burning Jumping Wild that converts the ordinary Jumping Wilds on its reel. Its burning cart carries x10, x15, x25, x50, x75, or x100. The Top Train’s own multipliers run x2 to x25. They add together rather than multiply each other, so a screen with three of them is a sum, not a chain.

Punk Rocker 2 with a Jumping Wild lit on the middle reel, the bottom train carrying x5 and x3 multipliers and the top train a Molotov and x2, skull Wilds paying across the board for 160.00 at a 1.60 bet.
The bottom train’s x5 and x3 and the top train’s Molotov and x2 are the payload here, dropped onto whichever reel a Jumping Wild lands on.

xBet

Switch xBet on, and each spin costs 2x the stake, and in return, reel 2 always arrives carrying a special symbol, whether that is the Bonus star, an xWays, a Super xWays, Molotov Wilds, or a Pipe Bomb Wild. The return on that setting is 96.16%. It is the same booster idea that runs through most of Nolimit City’s catalogue, aimed here at the one reel that feeds the trains.

How to Play

Two Bonus Symbols

Punk Rocker 2 base board with the 729 win ways banner, stacked Uncle Sam monkey symbols and a Bonus star on reel 5
The 729 WIN WAYS banner sits above six reels and three rows. The Uncle Sam monkey, worth 4x at six across, has filled four positions on reels 2 and 3, while the single Bonus star on reel 5 is one short of a Riot Spins respin.

A pair of Bonus stars is worth more on this board than a pair usually is, because the two Wild types they turn into are the ones doing the work. A Molotov Wild turns every position above it Wild. A Pipe Bomb Wild carries 2 to 4 Wilds inside it and copies itself upwards at the same size, so one landing near the bottom of a reel can fill most of it. The regular Wild covers everything except the Bonus star, and it always resolves to the best combination it can reach.

Wins count from reel 1 rightwards on neighbouring reels, each way paying the symbol’s own value, and where ways overlap, the game keeps the better of them.

On a handset, the spin button and the lightning-bolt booster are thumb-sized targets down the right edge, with bet and sound on the left, so you can run the whole thing one-handed with the phone on its side.

Stakes and RTP

You can play from €0.20 a spin up to €100. The RTP is 96.06% on the setting this one uses, with lower ones in circulation that drag the spread down to 87.04% at the bottom. The rules give the cap a name, “We Want You”, and a figure, 30,144x, a result the game itself rates at 1 in 7,000,000 rounds. That figure is exactly double the 15,072x the 2020 original stopped at, and the two games are five hundredths of a point apart on return, which tells you where the four years of work went.

Payout Values

Nothing on this board pays from two, and the ladder above three is short. The Uncle Sam monkey tops it at 4x for six across, the four punks step down in even measures behind him, and the five street objects flatten out almost immediately, each worth 0.2x for three.

The Bonus star and the Wilds have no row of their own, since their value is in what they trigger and what they replace. Six across happens often enough here to matter, because one xWays reveal can stack a single symbol tall enough to cover the full width of a reel and then some.

Ultimate Slots Verdict

Second of three, and the one that found the series a format. The trains give free spins a structure the 2020 game never had, and the multiplier list is long enough to make 8 spins worth sitting through. Normal play stays thin until a Bonus star lands, which is the trade this design asks you to accept.

4.2/5 Excellent

✓ What We Like

  • An xWays can super expand to 20 high, rewriting the board from a single reveal
  • Both Train Enhancers run in ChAos and Mass Transit Barbeque Spins, with burning cart multipliers up to x100
  • Two Bonus symbols already buy you something, in the shape of a locked respin

✗ What Could Be Better

  • 4x for six on the top symbol leaves the main game leaning almost entirely on Wilds
  • The trains only appear from the third Bonus symbol onwards, and 8 spins is not much time to fill them

Detailed Review

Our Verdict

Among the studio’s other second instalments, this one behaves the way they tend to, keeping the first game’s silhouette and rebuilding the bonus round around a single new idea. Mental 2 is another of the studio’s sequels; here the new idea is a railway. Jumping Wilds move every spin, the trains react to where they land, and the round builds up instead of settling.

What keeps this review on the sequel’s side is the length of the enhancer list. Eight spins is not many, but with both trains active, there are seven ways the top one can help you and three more from the bottom, and the burning cart’s x100 is a serious number on a board this flat. Because the multipliers add up, you can follow what a round is worth while it is still running.

The main game is the weaker half. At 729 ways with a 4x top symbol, ordinary spins pay in fractions, and the trains do not even exist until a third Bonus star lands. Riot Spins soften that a little, though a respin with two locked reels is a small return for what the reels look like they are promising.

So, this is the middle punk. It is louder than the 2020 game and less strange than the one that followed it, and it is the entry where the series finally found a shape worth reusing.

Frequently Asked Questions

The maximum doubled, the setting moved from London to New York, and the free-spin rounds were rebuilt around Jumping Wilds that move every spin and two Train Enhancers that react to them. The board also uses 729 ways at rest, expanding well past that whenever xWays lands.
In the main game, an xWays holds 2 to 4 matching symbols, and once it has expanded to 4 high, it can super expand to 20 high. Within free spins, it lands 4 high instead, holding 4, 6, or 8 of the same symbol.
Two Bonus symbols anywhere on the reels award a respin in Punk Rocker 2. Both turn into Molotov Wilds and lock their reels, along with any other reel holding a Wild. Another Bonus during the respins pays, converts, and adds a further respin.
DisOBEY gives 8 spins with 3 Jumping Wilds and the Top Train. ChAos gives 8 spins with a fourth Jumping Wild and both trains. Mass Transit Barbeque gives 8 spins with four Wilds, both trains, and a burning cart stopping every spin. Upgrading into either of the higher two adds 2 spins.
x10, x15, x25, x50, x75, or x100, applied to the Wild it reaches. Multipliers on this game add up instead of compounding, so two multiplied Wilds on the same winning way stack their values into a single figure.
For double the stake on every spin, it guarantees one special symbol on reel 2 every time, drawn from the Bonus star, an xWays, a Super xWays, Molotov Wilds, or a Pipe Bomb Wild. Symbol values are unaffected, so the change is in how often reel 2 does something.
