About Game

Push Gaming’s Retro Tapes Demo

Retro Tapes has ten Instant Prize values, from 1x up to 1,000x the bet, and each pays once 5 or more form a cluster. Top Charts holds those prizes on the reels and counts the lot after the last free spin. That end count is the reason to try this slot.

A rainbow cassette tape with a lightning bolt fronts the game. Underneath, the tapes pay in clusters on a large cluster-pays grid.

Free Play Features

Wild Tapes

Apart from the Magnet and the Wild Multiplier, the Wild Tape stands in for any symbol. It lands at 1x, gains 1 for each cluster win it’s part of, and spins off when the wins stop, so chains of cluster wins are what build it. It’s also the scatter, and 3 or more at once start the free games.

Wild Multiplier Symbol

A Wild Multiplier, worth 1x, 2x, 3x, or 5x, can land in the main game or in Top Charts. It hands that value to every Wild Tape present, then becomes an Instant Prize of random value, so it’s worth more with several tapes already in view.

The Magnet

The Magnet picks one paying symbol type at random and pulls all of that type into a cluster. It then becomes the chosen symbol or a random Instant Prize. In Top Charts, it draws in each unlocked Instant Prize within a random range, then becomes a random prize itself for a cluster win.

Top Charts Feature

Top Charts starts once at least 3 Wild Tapes land together, with 6, 8, 10, or 12 spins for 3, 4, 5, or 6 tapes. The Wild Tapes and Instant Prizes stay in place, and each free spin lands on one of six results (Blank Space, Wild Tape, Wild Multiplier, Instant Prize, Magnet, or Extra Spin). An Extra Spin adds 1 or 2 spins before it becomes a random Instant Prize, and every prize that lands stays until the round is over, when the game evaluates the whole board and every cluster collects, meaning a round reads as one result rather than a string of small ones.

Cluster Links

Cluster Links is Push Gaming’s name for how the clusters chain, from a Wild Tape riding a run of wins to Wild Tapes, Wild Multipliers, and Magnets building bigger clusters in Top Charts.

Against that, three tapes give just 6 spins, and an Instant Prize does nothing outside a cluster of 5 or a Magnet’s pull. The highest win Push has seen on Retro Tapes stands at 10,000x. Retro Tapes came out in November 2022 and has a sequel in Retro Sweets. Among music slots, this is the demo for a bonus that saves everything for one count. Top Charts alone earns Retro Tapes its place.

How to Play

RTP

The RTP of Retro Tapes is 96.47%, a long-run figure that takes in the Top Charts rounds as well as the clusters that pay between them.

Tape Cluster Payouts

Wins on this music slot start with the tapes. Five or more identical tapes touching horizontally or vertically make a cluster, and a tape cluster pays from 0.1x to 1,000x the bet. Once it pays, those tapes spin off and new ones fall into the space they leave. The refill can build a fresh cluster from the same spin, so one spin can pay more than once.

A Wild Tape can stand in for a tape to complete a cluster, and it multiplies any cluster win it’s involved in. Because it stays for as long as the wins keep coming, a cluster that forms late in a chain can meet a Wild Tape that has already climbed a few steps.

Instant Prizes follow the cluster rule too. Each one shows a value of 1x, 2x, 5x, 10x, 25x, 50x, 100x, 250x, 500x, or 1,000x the bet, and it pays when 5 or more join up in a cluster. The Magnet is the other way to collect them, and it needs 4 or more in view before it can pull them together.

The top of the prize ladder matches the top tape cluster, 1,000x each. So an Instant Prize can be worth as much as the best tape win, and with Top Charts holding prizes in place until the round ends, several large values can count together at the end.

Two Buy Prices

Two buy options cost 100x and 400x the bet.
