Money Train 5 Overview

One switch, two caps. Before a spin in the Money Train 5 demo, a toggle marked STAND and ULTRA decides whether wins stop at 50,000x in Standard Mode or at 100,000x in Ultra Mode, and each side of it has its own pair of bonus buys.
This is Relax Gaming’s September 2026 return to the rails, a 5×4 slot with 40 lines and a bonus round in which the reels move.
Demo Features
Standard or Ultra

The GAME MODES switch is at the left of the grid, under the ENHANCED SPIN toggle. Set to STAND, the game is in Standard Mode and wins stop at 50,000x. Set to ULTRA, Ultra Mode raises the cap to 100,000x.
Nuclear Wild
During a spin, the game can trigger the Nuclear Wild. Crosshairs lock onto up to five reels and plant Nuclear Bombs, and a bomb expands into a full Wild reel when it is part of one or more winning combinations.
Free Spins Bonus Round
Three or more Bonus symbols anywhere start the round, and the ones that triggered it reveal values, each between 1x and 10x the bet. Play opens at station 0 with 3 spins, and the count returns to 3 each time a new symbol lands.
Tickets and Stations
Tickets are what make the reels move. Each one shows a number from +1 to +5, and that number is how many steps the reels move from right to left. A reel moved out of the grid adds its total value to the win and advances the train one station. Ticket effects act last.
| Station | Unlocks |
|---|---|
| 5 | The chance to land Persistent Symbols |
| 10 | One extra row |
| 15 | The chance to land Bomber and Pyromancer; Super Free Spins and Ultra Super Free Spins start here |
| 20 | The Permanent Payer, unlocked and active |
A persistent symbol reactivates its effect on each new spin, and the Collector, Payer, Sniper, Collector Payer, Necromancer, Arms Dealer, and Bomber can all appear in that form.
Ticket Master and the Necromancer
The Ticket Master takes the total win, adds it to every other visible symbol, and applies a ticket worth 1. It also contributes to triggering the Super Free Spins, and if a Ticket Master triggered the round, it acts before spins begin and the train advances to station 15. The Necromancer revives one or two non persistent special features already used.
Bomber, Pyromancer, Permanent Payer
From station 15, a Bomber can land and multiply all visible values by either 2x, 3x, 4x, or 5x. The Pyromancer, unlocked at the same station, burns a static Hot Zone onto the train. Normal feature symbols that can be persistent upgrade to persistent inside it, and bonus values that land inside or are moved in double.
The Permanent Payer unlocks and activates only at Station 20. It acts after all other features except Tickets, which act last, and only the first effect of a new Payer or Persistent Payer boosts it, not including the ones created by the Necromancer or Arms Dealer.
For Standard play, the rules set 50,000x as the limit, and once a round’s values add up to that much or more, “the bonus game ends” and pays that figure. The Ultra line reads “In Ultra Mode this game features a win cap of 100,000x.”
Familiar Faces
The rest of the cast returns from earlier trains, including the same Sniper and Collector Payer as Money Train 3, one doubling 3 to 8 other values and the other taking 3 to 5 targets, alongside a Collector, a Payer, an Absorber that removes normal bonus symbols only, and an Arms Dealer that converts 1 to 4 bonus symbols.
Buys and Enhanced Spin
In Standard Mode, Free Spins cost 100x the bet and Super Free Spins, which start at Station 15, cost 500x. In Ultra Mode, Ultra Free Spins cost 250x and Ultra Super Free Spins, also from Station 15, cost 2000x. All four come from the Supercharge (SC) menu in the base game. Enhanced Spin adds 50% to the default bet and more than doubles the chance of triggering the Free Spins Bonus Round.
How to Play
An Expanding Nuclear Bomb
Only the highest paying combination on each of the 40 lines is paid, counted from the leftmost reel, and a spin’s line wins are summed. The Wild can replace any symbol except the bonus symbol, and Bonus symbols can land anywhere on the reels, so three or more of them have to land on their own to start the Free Spins Bonus Round. Once a Nuclear Bomb expands, the Wild reel it leaves counts as four positions on the reel and substitutes for all symbols.
Who Acts First
During the Free Spins Bonus Round, every value shows as a multiple of the bet, and each special Bonus symbol reveals one before it acts. When several specials are on the reels, the top row acts first and the bottom row last, with the leftmost position going first within each row. The Permanent Payer follows them, and Tickets come last. Special symbols only interact with symbols within the active game area, and a feature symbol the Arms Dealer makes from 1 to 4 bonus symbols performs its action straight after the conversion.
Standard and Ultra Stakes
Relax lists stakes from €0.10 to €20 in Standard Mode, while Ultra Mode, the one with the bigger cap, stops at €10 from the same €0.10 floor.
The RTP is 96.10%. Ultra Mode’s 100,000x also falls short of the 150,000x listed for Money Train 4.
Game Paytable
The Wild pays level with the skull-faced gunslinger at the top, 20x for five, and the four suits run from 3x to 5x for five, with three of any suit worth 0.2x. Names describe the art.
| Symbol | 5 | 4 | 3 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Skull-faced gunslinger | 20x | 4x | 0.8x |
| Gold armoured trooper | 10x | 3x | 0.6x |
| Face-painted sniper | 9x | 2.5x | 0.5x |
| Blonde gunwoman | 8x | 2x | 0.5x |
| Red spade | 5x | 1x | 0.2x |
| Yellow heart | 4x | 1x | 0.2x |
| Green club | 3.5x | 0.7x | 0.2x |
| Blue diamond | 3x | 0.7x | 0.2x |
| Wild | 20x | 4x | 0.8x |
Ultimate Slots Verdict
Players who want a bonus round that changes as it goes get the most from Money Train 5, with Tickets moving the reels right to left and station 15 bringing a chance of Bomber or Pyromancer. A cap above Ultra Mode's 100,000x isn't on offer.
✓ What We Like
- Tickets move the reels right to left, and each reel moved out adds its total to the win and advances the train a station.
- Four stations change the round as it goes, from the chance of Persistent Symbols at station 5 to the Permanent Payer at Station 20.
- Standard and Ultra Mode give a real choice before the spin, a 50,000x cap that ends a Standard bonus or a 100,000x cap in Ultra Mode.
- A Ticket Master helps trigger the Super Free Spins, and a round it triggers starts with the train at station 15.
- From station 15, the Bomber can multiply all visible values by either 2x, 3x, 4x, or 5x.
- During a spin, the Nuclear Wild can plant bombs on up to five reels that expand into Wild reels when part of a winning combination.
✗ What Could Be Better
- The line game tops at 20x for five of the gunslinger or the Wild, the same figure as Money Train 3.
- Ultra Mode's higher cap comes with a lower maximum bet, and Ultra Super Free Spins cost 2000x for a round that starts at station 15.
Detailed Review
Money Train 5 Review
50,000x and 100,000x are the two caps, Standard Mode’s and Ultra Mode’s, and neither reaches the top prize of the fourth game. Judged on that figure, Money Train 5 looks like a step down the line.
The bonus rules change the review. A Ticket moves the reels right to left, each reel it moves out adds its total to the win, and every reel gone moves the train a station closer to new rules: the chance of Persistent Symbols at station 5, one extra row at station 10, a chance of Bomber and Pyromancer from station 15, and the Permanent Payer at Station 20. The round has a route, and it changes as it goes. The station track is the strongest idea here, stronger than a bigger cap would have been, and the Ticket Master, which sends a round it triggers straight to station 15, gives the track a shortcut.
The art helps it along. The reels are set into a dark armoured locomotive hull with blue lights and graffiti, a gas-mask face and a GO sticker, in front of smoking cooling towers under a yellow-green sky. The top symbol is a skull-faced man in a brown cowboy hat with a skull-and-crossbones badge and a red goggle lens over one eye, and with sombreros and braids among the gas masks, it reads as a post-apocalyptic Wild West.
Outside the bonus, less has moved. The line table tops at 20x for five of the gunslinger or the Wild, the figure Money Train 3 shows, and the main game has the Nuclear Wild, which can plant bombs on up to five reels. Ultra’s higher cap comes with a lower top bet, and Ultra Super Free Spins cost 2000x against 500x for Super Free Spins, with both starting at station 15.
The reset counter and the Tickets give each bonus round a pair of things to wait for, the next symbol and the next step along the track as the reels move right to left, and that anticipation is what the round sells.
The limitation stays the main game. Forty lines with a 20x top pay are what you spin between bonuses, and no station reaches them, so free play outside the bonus comes down to waiting for three Bonus symbols.
