About Game

JDB Gaming’s Magic Ace Wild Lock Demo

A Wild that locks sounds permanent. In Magic Ace Wild Lock, a card slot on 1024 ways, the Super Joker holds its spot for up to 3 rounds, and its number falls on spins where it forms no win. The fix on offer is a price. Option 2 costs 75x and guarantees a Super Joker in free spins, while the 50x Option 1 leaves that to chance.

White cards fill a dark red board under a striped tent top, with a half-wheel of multipliers above the reels. Magic Ace shares that look and its cascades. Wild Lock changes what the Super Joker does and how free spins are counted.

Slot Bonus Features

Super Joker Countdown

When a winning Golden Card turns into a Super Joker, it locks in that spot for 3 rounds. The number on the card is the rounds left. At 2 or above, that number drops by one when the Joker can form part of a win or when the spin completes. At 1, a win removes it; without one, it clears at the start of the next spin.

So, the lock is a countdown, and it keeps running whether the Joker helps or not. A spin that pays nothing still costs it a round.

Three Joker Modes

Golden Cards land only on reels 2, 3, and 4, and a winning one flips in place into a Joker picked at random.

Of the other two, the Big Joker adds random duplicates of itself over other symbols (never a scatter or another Golden Card), and the Small Joker changes only its own spot. All three stand in for any card but the dartboard scatter.

That’s a different idea of a joker from Joker’s Jewels, whereas the joker is the highest-paying symbol instead of a wild.

Scatter Ladder

The dartboard scatter can land on all five reels. How many land decides the start, and the same counts retrigger once the round is running.

Scatters Free spins to start Retrigger adds
3 10 5
4 12 8
5 15 10

One bonus can award no more than 50 free spins. Five scatters give the longest start, and a retrigger on 5 adds the most.

Super Joker Buy

The buy menu has two options, and both are bought from the base game. Option 1 costs 50x and starts free spins with 3 or more scatters dropped at random. Option 2 costs 75x, does the same, and guarantees a Super Joker during the bonus. The gap between the two prices pays for that one Joker, and both can be tried in free play.

So, is the lock the reason to play this slot? Not really. Three rounds that also tick down on spins with no win make a short hold, and five Aces pay 2.5x at best. The 75x option is the stronger pull, because it promises the Super Joker during free spins, where the wheel doubles its values. Every Super Joker does start its count at 3, and 5 scatters open with 15 spins. JDB rates the game Medium, with three of five chillies lit on its volatility meter, and a 2,600x top win, on JDB’s numbers, fits that middle grade.

How to Play

Demo RTP

Matching cards count across 1024 ways, beginning at reel 1 over adjacent reels, and each win clears its cards, apart from Golden Cards and scatters, so new cards drop in from the top. A win also counts every matching card on each reel, so two Kings on one reel count a King win twice. The wheel steps from x1 to x2, x3, and x5 with each cascade and resets at the start of each spin; in free spins, it reads x2, x4, x6, and x10. The game multiplies each win by whichever value is lit when it lands.

For each symbol, a way pays one combination, the highest it makes. A Big or Small Joker that forms a second win is cleared and replaced from the top, like any other card.

JDB sets Wild Lock’s RTP at 96.33% for this October 2024 release. Extra Bet adds 50% to the stake, pays wins on the original bet, and upgrades the wheel until you turn it off. Buying either feature switches it off, and it can only be turned on outside free spins.

Payouts

The four suits all pay less than the Jack, and five Aces lead the table at 2.5x on a way. The table states each pay as x the total bet.

Symbol 5 of a kind 4 of a kind 3 of a kind
Diamond, club 0.25x 0.1x 0.05x
Spade, heart 0.5x 0.2x 0.1x
Jack 1x 0.4x 0.2x
Queen 1.5x 0.6x 0.3x
King 2x 0.8x 0.4x
Ace 2.5x 1x 0.5x

A Golden Card in reels 2 to 4 pays the same as its plain card and can join a win with it. Neither the Jokers nor the dartboard gets a pay row.

Yes. In Magic Ace Wild Lock, a number of 2 or above falls by one when the spin completes, so an empty spin still uses up one of the 3 rounds.
