The Luxe Demo by Hacksaw Gaming

The High-Roller setting in The Luxe costs 2,000x the bet per spin, and each of those spins has a 1 in 10.38 chance of paying the max win. In The Luxe demo, that max win has a name, MAX WIN, and it tops a board of four jackpots at the grid’s left edge. So why would a slot of chips, dice, and card suits price a spin like that? The answer is in the Golden Frames and the Clover Crystal, the game’s two routes to those four prizes.
Hacksaw Gaming put The Luxe out in July 2025 and dressed it in black leather and carbon fibre, with a thick gold frame around a 5×4 grid. At first glance, it plays like a plain 14-line slot.
Golden Frames
Multiplier Frames
A Golden Frame lands on a position during a spin and opens when the reels settle, revealing either a Jackpot or a Multiplier worth between 2x and 100x. It counts as part of a win only if the symbol inside it is in a winning line, and in regular play, every frame clears once the wins are paid.
Jackpot Frames

A Jackpot Frame reveals one of four tiers, MINI at 25x the bet, MAJOR at 100x, MEGA at 500x, and MAX WIN at 20,000x, and pays when it’s in a win or when a Clover Crystal picks it up. Reach 20,000x and the round finishes there with the win paid; in a bonus, the game returns to the main screen and any free spins left don’t get played.
Clover Crystals
The green four-leaf clover doesn’t care about lines. A Clover Crystal gathers the value of every Multiplier and Jackpot that lands on its spin, win or no win, and pays the total after the line wins. Two never land together, and neither lands inside a Golden Frame. That gives regular play a route to a jackpot with no winning line through it.
Free Spins
A spin with three, four, or five FS scatters, written in blue glass letters, starts one of three bonuses, each 10 free spins long, and each step up opens with more frames on the grid.
| Bonus | Scatters | Golden Frames at the start | What changes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Black and Gold | 3 | 1 | Every frame is Sticky to the end and refills with a new Multiplier or Jackpot between spins |
| Golden Hits | 4 | 3 | Multipliers stay put unless they’re in a win, and double when they are |
| Velvet Nights | 5 | Every position | No Clover Crystals or FS symbols land |
Golden Hits follows Black and Gold’s rules with three frames in place, and each Multiplier starts somewhere between 2x and 10x. A Multiplier in a win doubles before the next spin, and one picked up by a Clover Crystal can double too, never more than once in the same spin. A Jackpot in a win is paid, and its frame refills with a Multiplier or a fresh Jackpot.
Velvet Nights, the Hidden Epic Bonus, isn’t for sale, so five scatters are its sole trigger, and it opens with a Golden Frame on every position.
Buy Options

The two per-spin settings, BonusHunt and High-Roller FeatureSpins, are the cheapest and the most expensive things on the menu. At 5x the bet, the first means a bonus comes ten times as often, while the High-Roller setting stops FS symbols from landing, and both stay on until you switch them off. Black and Gold costs 80x and Golden Hits 250x. All four options have an Extreme volatility label, the 5x setting included.
How to Play
The Jackpot Board
Four set prizes are listed down the left side of the reels: MINI at 25x, MAJOR at 100x, MEGA at 500x, and MAX WIN at the top. The board shows what each one is worth right now at the bet you’ve chosen. Le Bunny’s Jackpot Eggs run 10x, 100x, and 1,000x beneath a Max Win tier of their own, so the two games share the same top tier with a different set of rungs under it. There are 14 lines, and a payout needs at least three of a symbol in a row, the first of them on reel 1. Since a Golden Frame counts only when its symbol is in a line win, unless a Clover Crystal collects it, that pay rule also decides which frames get paid.
Game RTP
€1.00 is the most this demo lets you stake on a spin, and €0.10 the least. The Luxe’s RTP is 96.33%, and the table below lists the other numbers worth knowing before you start.
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| RTP | 96.33% |
| Grid | 5 reels, 4 rows |
| Lines | 14 |
| Free spins per bonus | 10 |
| Jackpot tiers | MINI, MAJOR, MEGA, MAX WIN |
Demo Paytable
Nothing pays for two, and the four suits share the lowest row.
| Symbol | 3 | 4 | 5 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Yellow gem | 20x | 50x | 200x |
| Crown | 10x | 30x | 100x |
| Pair of aces | 2x | 10x | 25x |
| Stacked chips | 1x | 5x | 15x |
| Dice | 0.5x | 2x | 5x |
| Diamond, club, spade, heart (each) | 0.2x | 0.5x | 1x |
| Wild (gold W) | – | – | 200x |
The gold W can be any symbol on the paytable, and five of them pay 200x, level with five gems.
Ultimate Slots Verdict
Between bonuses there's little to keep you, since Golden Frames clear the moment the wins are paid, the whole buy menu is labelled Extreme, and the card suits pay 1x for five. What lifts The Luxe is how it's put together, with a Jackpot Board topped by the cap itself, a Clover Crystal that pays jackpots without a win, Golden Hits Multipliers that double, and a High-Roller setting aimed at that one tier.
✓ What We Like
- A Clover Crystal pays any Multiplier or Jackpot that lands with it, whether or not the spin has a win.
- Golden Hits starts with three frames and doubles a Multiplier each time it's in a win.
- MAX WIN appears on the Jackpot Board as a named prize, so the cap is something one Jackpot Frame can reveal.
✗ What Could Be Better
- Outside the bonuses, each Golden Frame lasts a single spin and needs a winning line through its symbol, or a Clover Crystal, to count.
- Four card suits pay 1x at most, and the buy menu is labelled Extreme from its cheapest option up.
Detailed Review
A Jackpot Called Max Win
Most per-spin settings on the other Hacksaw slots we cover cost between 3x and 100x. The High-Roller setting in The Luxe costs 2,000x, and the price only starts to make sense when you notice what the cap is here, the highest tier on a jackpot board. Everything else on the paytable looks small beside it. The best line, five gems or five Wilds, pays 200x. A High-Roller spin is aimed at one outcome, and scatters can’t land while it runs, so no bonus gets in the way.
The look matches the pitch. The card suits are hollow gold outlines on black tiles, the chips and dice are black with gold trim, a pair of aces and a gold crown fill the upper pays under a yellow gem, and the Jackpot Board lines the left of the reels in gold capitals, with MAXWIN on top. The Clover Crystal is the lone green thing on the screen, which is sensible, since it’s the symbol you’ll be watching for.
Black and Gold Luxury
Away from the bonuses, not much happens. A Golden Frame lasts the spin it lands on, it counts only when a winning line runs through its symbol or a Clover Crystal collects it, and the suits pay 0.2x to 1x. So a lot of spins look like a plain chips-and-dice slot, with four jackpot values glowing to the left the whole time, and that constant view of MAXWIN is what keeps you going. The bonuses are one frame rule at three strengths rather than three ideas, and Golden Hits stands out, because doubling Multipliers are what grows here. Black and Gold, which starts with one Sticky frame, is modest by comparison, and Velvet Nights needs five scatters at once. The menu offers no gentle way in either, since even the 5x setting is labelled Extreme.
So here’s a test for your free play. Give the demo 100 regular spins and count how often a Golden Frame ends up on a winning line. That count tells you more than any review can about whether The Luxe is a jackpot game you’ll enjoy or a 14-line slot you’ll tire of. Keep an eye on the Clover Crystal while you count, since it’s the other way a frame gets paid.
