Three Leprechauns land, and Irish Luck doesn’t hand out free games. It hands out picks. One pick for every Leprechaun that started it, and each pick turns over either a fairy worth up to 100x or the leprechaun who opens 10 free games. The bonus decides whether the feature happens at all. Most of Eyecon’s 25-line slots count scatters and award a fixed number of spins for the count; this 2017 game puts a choice screen in that slot, then adds a second pick bonus and a five-letter word combo on top.
Three or more scattered Leprechauns anywhere in view open the Prize Pick. The trigger hands you one pick for each Leprechaun that took part, and every pick reveals a fairy or the leprechaun himself. Fairies pay a prize of up to 100x. The leprechaun awards 10 free games, and during those games, every prize doubles, scatter wins included. Picks stack, so a three-Leprechaun trigger can pay two fairies and still find the round on the third. It can also turn over three fairies and end there. That’s the trade this game makes, and no other Eyecon classic makes it.
The Fairy is the second scatter, and three or more of them start a separate bonus. You turn over clover leaves until two of them match, and the value of that pair pays once for every Fairy in the trigger. Neither pick bonus can start during free games, so a round won on the reels plays out on the reels. Match & Win is the shorter of the two, and it always pays something.
Five-letter tiles ride the reels beside the picture symbols. Line them up left to right on an active payline, and the word pays 120x, three times what five money trees return. Four letters are worth 20x, and three are worth 1x. Letter symbols are rare across Eyecon’s catalogue, where the classics pay on pictures alone, and here, they carry the largest single value in the game. They’re also flat-coloured squares against a set of glossy round symbols, so a partially built word is easy to spot.
The clover lands on reels 2 and 4, and nowhere else. It covers every symbol bar the Fairy and the Leprechaun, and any line win it joins pays double. Two reels is a narrow home for a substitute. A three-symbol win starting on reel 1 can pick up the double, while five-symbol wins need the clover to arrive in one of two fixed places.
Most 25-line games give the scatter job to a single symbol. Irish Luck runs two, and each one opens a different bonus. The Leprechaun starts the Prize Pick. The Fairy starts Match & Win. Both pay wherever they land rather than along a line, and both use the same ladder, so there are always two counts going at once.
The grid underneath is the studio’s standard 5×3 with 25 fixed lines, all of them paying left to right, and wins on different lines are added. Rainbow, castle, pot of gold, and a pint of stout round out a symbol set most Irish slots would recognise. Free games change none of that. They run at the stake and on the lines that were live when a pick awarded them, with every prize doubled.
Neither figure is on this shell. The bet panel is two columns, lines on the left and bet per line on the right, with arrows on each and a max button under both, but the game never states a floor or a limit for either. The game locks the lines at 25 and greys out the up arrow next to them. The return to player is 95.047%. There’s no maximum win anywhere in the rules, and the only two upper values the game commits to belong to features: the 100x fairy in the Prize Pick and the 120x for the complete word.
The word combo heads the sheet, and the two scatters follow. Scatter wins are counted against the whole bet while line symbols are counted against the line they land on, which is why a fairy or a leprechaun outpays every picture symbol except the money tree. Below the scatters, the ladder drops fast. The money tree, the pot of gold, and the rainbow pay from two symbols; the other five need three, and the four cheapest share their numbers in pairs.

Irish Luck earns its place on one structural choice. Free games arrive as a prize inside a pick, so the bonus decides whether the feature happens at all, and the word combo gives the reels something to chase that no picture symbol matches. The return is ordinary and the base is thin between bonuses.
Set Irish Luck beside Eyecon’s other 25-line classics, and one step in the sequence is different, which is where this review starts. On those games, scatters land and free games begin. Here, scatters land and a pick screen begins, and free games are one of two things a pick can reveal. Everything interesting about the design follows from that swap.
The art is 2017 cartoon Ireland and makes no apology for it. A rainbow arcs behind the reels, coins pile at the foot of a tree, a small castle stands on a green hill, and a pint of stout takes a mid-table slot. The symbols appear in glossy bubbles, which date the game more than the drawing does.
The base is thin. Five picture symbols in eight pay nothing until three land, and the best of them, five money trees, returns 40x. The word combo is the exception at 120x, and the two scatters pay 50x for five, more than every picture symbol bar the tree. On the 95.047% return this demo uses, that shape parks most of the game’s range inside the two bonuses and leaves the reels to tick along between them.
The Prize Pick is the honest part of the design. Three Leprechauns buy three picks, and a run of fairies can pay up to 100x each without ever opening the free games. There’s a version of that where the picks beat the round they replaced. There’s also the version where two small fairies land and you go back to the reels with nothing to show for the trigger. Match & Win is a flatter pair-matching screen that always pays, but rarely pays much.
Eyecon later reissued the skin as Irish Luck Jackpot with a progressive attached, a fair signal that the base numbers needed help. Anyone who wants leprechauns with a heavier feature set can set it against Leprechauns Gold Streak. What holds this one up is the pick, and free play is where you can watch it land.
