Gets the Worm Basics
Eyecon’s 25-line classics normally scale the free games with the trigger: 15 for three scatters, 20 for four, and 25 for five. Gets the Worm awards 7, and that number doesn’t move however many Worms land. The 2016 garden slot keeps the studio’s 5×3 frame and its 25 fixed lines, then cuts the feature to under half the house length and leaves out the multiplier that everything else in the range applies. What remains is a short ladder with a 200x Early Bird at the top and a Low grade from the studio to match.
Slot Features

Seven Free Games
Seven free games open on 3 or more scattered Worms, and 5 Worms award the same 7 as 3 do. The round multiplies nothing it pays out, which is the clearest break from the rest of the 25-line catalogue.
What the feature adds instead is a job swap for the wild. In the round, the Early Bird also substitutes for the scattered Worm and acts as a scatter when it does, so the bird can push a retrigger the standard reels would never hand it. Retriggers stop at 15. Neither the rules nor Eyecon’s own listings state a maximum win.
The Early Bird
The Early Bird carries the top line at 200x for five, 40x for four, and 4x at three, and nothing else on the sheet clears 20x. During standard play, it covers every symbol except the scattered Worm, and it carries no multiplier of its own, so a bird-completed line pays face value rather than double. That is a real departure for a studio whose substitute usually doubles the line it finishes. For the other Low-rated classic in the catalogue, Sugar Train puts a meter and a pick bonus behind a ladder of much the same shape.
The Worm Scatter
The Worm pays against the whole bet rather than per line, lands in any position, and returns something from a pair. Two Worms pay 2x, three pay 5x, four pay 20x, and five pay 50x, so the five-scatter figure is a quarter of the top line. For each scatter, the game adds the highest scatter win to the line wins rather than replacing them. Three Worms do both jobs at once, paying 5x and opening the 7 free games.
How to Play
The Two Pay Units
Only two symbols return a win from a pair: the 9 at 0.08x and the scattered Worm at 2x. Line wins are multiplied by the wager on a single payline, while scatter wins are multiplied by the total bet, so the paytable presents the two types differently before conversion.
Wins run from left to right across 25 fixed paylines, with only the highest win counted on each line and awards from separate lines added together. Free games retain the paylines and wager used to trigger them, leaving no further betting decisions once the feature begins.
The 25 Lines
All 25 patterns are drawn in the info screen, and they follow the studio’s usual mix of flat rows, single peaks, and shallow zig-zags, none of them crossing more than two rows between neighbouring reels. That matters more here than it would on a ways title, because a five-symbol win has to arrive on one of those fixed shapes, and the two 20x garden props are the likeliest to complete one. A second win on the same line never counts, so a board carrying three watering cans twice over pays once for that line. The game is built for a phone screen, with the spin key as a round tap target beside the reels and a menu button in the top bar that opens both the bet panel and the info screen.
Bet Range and Return
Two sliders set the stake, one for lines and one for per-line value. They run from 1 line at $0.01, a $0.01 minimum, up to 25 lines at $0.10, for a $2.50 maximum.
The RTP is 95.113%, the figure the game’s own rules give. No volatility icon appears anywhere on the info screen, so Eyecon’s Low grade is the only rating attached to the game, and a ladder this short leaves little to argue against that grade. Free play uses the configuration the studio ships, which makes the demo a fair read on how often the Worm appears, as it is across the rest of the Eyecon shelf.
Game Paytable
Below the Early Bird, the ladder is short and closely packed. The birdhouse and the watering can share 20x for five, the flower and the A share 10x, and K down to 9 covers 8x to 4x, so nine of the ten line symbols land within one narrow band.
| Symbol | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Early Bird | – | 4x | 40x | 200x |
| Birdhouse | – | 1x | 4x | 20x |
| Watering can | – | 1x | 4x | 20x |
| Flower | – | 0.6x | 2x | 10x |
| A | – | 0.6x | 2x | 10x |
| K | – | 0.4x | 1.6x | 8x |
| Q | – | 0.4x | 1x | 6x |
| J | – | 0.4x | 1x | 6x |
| 10 | – | 0.2x | 0.6x | 4x |
| 9 | 0.08x | 0.2x | 0.6x | 4x |
The Worm scatter reads against the whole bet, so its row stands on its own.

Ultimate Slots Verdict
Gets the Worm trims the Eyecon classic to 7 unmultiplied free games behind a 200x top, and the studio's Low grade is a fair one. It's gentle, readable free play, with a shorter, flatter feature than most Eyecon 25-line games it sits beside.
✓ What We Like
- The Worm scatter pays from a pair and lands in any position, so spins return something without a completed line
- A wild that doubles as a scatter substitute during free games gives the 7 games a retrigger route the standard reels never offer
- A tight 4x to 20x middle band and a Low grade make the demo readable and slow to drain
✗ What Could Be Better
- Seven free games with no multiplier is the smallest feature in Eyecon's 25-line catalogue
- A single top line on 25 patterns leaves the sheet without a large figure to work towards
- Only one build is published, so there is no higher-return version of the 95.113% setting to look for
Detailed Review
Gets the Worm Review
Against the rest of Eyecon’s 25-line range, this is the short-feature entry. The Fluffy-era builds award 15, 20, or 25 free games and triple what lands during them. Gets the Worm awards 7 and multiplies nothing, and that one decision drives most of what there is to weigh here.
The paytable follows the same restraint. A top line this modest is unusual for a 25-line classic, the garden props stop well short of it, and the card ranks run 4x to 8x, so the gap between a strong spin and an ordinary one is narrow. The Worm’s five-scatter figure is the second largest on the sheet, and it can arrive without a completed line, which is odd company for a top that small.
What the flatness buys is frequency. A scatter that pays from a pair, a line symbol that does the same, and 25 fixed patterns mean small returns arrive often, and the Low grade reads as a description rather than a sales line. The return is mid-table for the studio, so it is spread thin across the reels instead of pooled behind a feature.
That makes it a slow, legible garden slot for a long demo run and a thin one for anyone who wants a round with some bite to it. Among the studio’s animal titles, there are several with the same art budget and three times the feature length, and this review would send most readers to one of those first.
