A Lake Visit

Halfway through a Slingo session, the grid dissolves. Suddenly, a 5×4 reel slot appears beneath the numbers, how unexpected! Here you will find a full bonus game with its own paytable, its own wilds, and its own scatter-triggered respins. Then it ends and you’re back at the grid. That transition is the defining feature of Fishing Bob Slingo.

Gaming Realms and King Show Games have built a Slingo title where reaching enough lines doesn’t just unlock a prize multiplier, it launches an entirely separate slot experience mid-session, complete with 1,024 ways to win and up to 240 bonus games if the scatters cooperate. The Slingo format provides structure; everything else about this game is built around the moment you break out of it.

The Slingo Structure

Core Format

A 5×5 number grid sits above a row of five reels. Each spin reveals numbers and special symbols. Matched numbers on the grid are marked automatically; completing a row, column or diagonal line completes a Slingo. You start with 10 spins. The payladder on the left tracks progress from 1 Slingo upward, with bonus features unlocking at specific milestones. There are 12 possible win lines but only 11 distinct award levels, because the final number to complete the grid will always close at least two lines simultaneously.

Special Symbols

Wilds let you mark any number in the column directly above where they land. Super Wilds let you mark any number anywhere on the grid, a significantly more powerful version that becomes critical when specific positions are blocking completion. Bonus Spin awards one additional spin from your remaining count. Blockers do nothing and occupy a reel position without contributing. Jackpot overlays on adjacent reels trigger the catch jackpots.

Jackpots

Three jackpots are available and trigger on Jackpot overlays landing on adjacent reels during the base game, independent of the Slingo ladder. Minor Catch requires 3 adjacent overlays and pays 50x your initial game stake. Major Catch requires 4 and pays 150x. Monster Catch requires all 5 and pays 1,000x. Only one jackpot can be awarded per spin.

Extra Spins

After the 10 base spins are exhausted, Extra Spins can be purchased individually. The price of each spin is calculated dynamically based on grid position and remaining win potential, so costs vary and can exceed your base stake. The next price is always shown on the Spin For button before you commit. Bonus Spin symbols are removed from the reels during Extra Spins. Spin limits and maximum prices can be set in the player controls.

The Bonus Ladder

Two Routes Up

Completing Slingos pushes you up the payladder toward two alternating bonus types. The Bobber Bonus triggers at 5, 7 and 9 Slingos; Fishing Bob’s Bonus Games trigger at 6, 8 and 10 Slingos. Full House (completing all lines) offers a choice between both, each at its maximum award level. Collecting at a milestone ends the Slingo session and launches whichever bonus applies. Higher milestones carry more picks, more games, and additional multipliers.

At 9 Slingos, a 2x multiplier applies to all Bobber Bonus awards. At 10 Slingos, a 2x multiplier applies to all Bonus Games awards. At Full House, the Bobber Bonus carries a 6x multiplier across all awards, and Bonus Games carry a 3x multiplier.

Fishing Bob’s Bonus Games

Awarded at 6 Slingos (5 games), 8 Slingos (10 games) and 10 Slingos (15 games). This is a standalone 5×4 reel slot with 1,024 ways to win. Wilds appear on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5, substituting for all symbols except the Bonus Scatter. Four high-paying fish symbols pay from 3 of a kind; six lower-paying symbols (boots, life jacket, bait box, beer can, lifebuoy, fishing net) pay from 4 of a kind. Landing 3 Bonus Scatters on reels 1, 2 and 3 awards 5 additional Bonus Games per way achieved; the maximum possible total is 240 games.

Bobber Bonus

Awarded at 5 Slingos (1-2 picks), 7 Slingos (3-5 picks) and 9 Slingos (3-5 picks with 2x multiplier). Three fishing locations are always offered. Each location contains 9 bobbers; selected bobbers reveal cash prizes between 0.2x and 10x your initial game stake, or a Trophy. Revealing a Trophy ends the bobber picking phase and activates the location-specific animal bonus for that round. Only one Trophy can be found per Bobber Bonus.

Animal Bonuses

The three fishing locations each lead to a different Trophy outcome. Yellowstone River triggers the Eagle Bonus, where picking an eagle reveals a multiplier between 2.6x and 10.4x your stake. Two chances to accept or reject the offer are given; the third offer is awarded automatically. The Lake of the Woods location triggers the Wolf Bonus, where picking wolves accumulates multipliers between 0.8x and 4.4x; the bonus ends when a Trophy is revealed. The Lake Michigan location triggers the Bear Bonus, which awards a base prize of 3.4x your stake, and picking baskets reveals replacement multipliers (not additive) between 1x and 5x. The Trophy ends the picking phase and applies the current multiplier. Any round multiplier from the Slingo ladder is applied to the total at the end of the Bobber Bonus.

How to Play

Playing Fishing Bob Slingo

Fishing Bob Slingo plays differently to a standard slot because each game session is finite by design. You have 10 spins to work with, and every decision about when to collect on the payladder, whether to buy Extra Spins, and which bonus route to target involves a trade-off between the current position and the cost of continuing.

Numbers on the 5×5 grid are fixed for the session; the reels beneath spin to reveal which of those numbers get marked. The payladder on the left shows what’s available at each Slingo milestone. Collecting on the payladder ends the session and launches the bonus. There’s no returning to complete more Slingos once you’ve collected.

The free play demo runs the full feature set including Extra Spins, making it the right place to understand how the bonus escalation works before playing at stake. This review covers the full rules below.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Landing 3 Bonus Scatter symbols on reels 1, 2 and 3 during the Bonus Games awards 5 additional games per way achieved. The maximum number of Bonus Games that can be accumulated in a single session is 240, so a strong scatter landing early in the round can extend the feature significantly beyond the initial award from the Slingo ladder.
Non-adjacent Jackpot overlays don't award a catch jackpot. The minimum requirement is 3 adjacent reels for the Minor Catch (50x stake). Gaps between overlay positions invalidate the combination, and only one jackpot can be awarded per spin regardless of how many overlays land.
The two animal bonuses build multipliers in opposite ways. The Wolf Bonus adds each revealed multiplier to a running total, so more picks means more stacked value. The Bear Bonus works by replacement: each basket reveals a new multiplier that replaces the previous one rather than adding to it. The Bear base prize is 3.4x your stake, multiplied by whichever value was current when the Trophy ended the round. The Wolf Bonus has a higher ceiling through accumulation; the Bear Bonus is more predictable but less scalable.
Collecting ends the Slingo session entirely. Extra Spins cannot be purchased after collecting because the session is over. Extra Spins are only available during the active game, purchased one at a time after the 10 base spins run out. Pricing is calculated dynamically from your grid position and potential remaining prizes, so the cost reflects how close you are to completing additional Slingos and what those Slingos could unlock on the ladder.
The standard game RTP is 95.64%, based on best strategy play. Extra Spins carry a minimum RTP of 96.49% per spin. Gaming Realms titles are sometimes offered at varying RTP configurations by different operators, so checking the in-game rules screen at your chosen casino will confirm the active return for that version.
Rejecting an offer in the Eagle Bonus removes the current multiplier from the selection and presents a new one. You get two opportunities to accept or reject before the third offer is awarded automatically with no further choice. There's no guarantee a rejected offer will be replaced by a higher one; the replacement is drawn from the remaining available multipliers in the Eagle Bonus, which range between 2.6x and 10.4x the initial game stake.
