About Game

Pragmatic Play Mahjong Wins Super Scatter Demo

Four gilded Super Scatter tiles in one scatter combination pay 100,000x the bet, and that single line is the reason this slot exists. Pragmatic Play released it in May 2025 as a mahjong game with an ordinary engine and one extraordinary prize. Tumbles, gold tiles, a win multiplier that climbs. All of it is familiar, all of it is competent, and none of it produces a number anywhere near the top one.

Slot Features

The Super Scatter Ladder

The Super Scatter is a separate symbol from the ordinary red 胜 scatter, a yin-yang disc on a gold ribbon, and it appears on the three inner columns. It counts towards the free spins trigger like any scatter, and it also carries a cash prize of its own. One disc inside a qualifying scatter combination pays; two pay more; three and four climb steeply from there, and the four-disc rung is the game’s top prize. The full ladder is in the How to Play tab. The Super Scatter never appears once free spins begin, so every rung has to land in standard play. The top rung also asks for a fourth scatter alongside the four discs, not three.

Gold Tiles and Wilds

Any paying tile can arrive gold-framed on reels 2, 3, and 4. A gold tile that takes part in a win turns wild for the next tumble, which is how the game keeps a winning sequence alive past its natural end. The gold ingot wild pays no cash on its own. During free spins, the whole of reel 3 arrives gold, so the middle column puts a wild into every tumble for as long as the round lasts.

Tumble Multipliers

Every win clears its tiles and pulls new ones down, and a multiplier climbs with each tumble in the chain. In standard play, it steps x1, x2, x3, and x5 along the banner above the reels, then stays at x5 from the fourth tumble onward. Free spins open the sequence at x2 and take it to x4, x6, and x10. The multiplier resets once the chain stops, so one long tumble run beats two short ones that clear the same number of tiles between them. That is the game’s real engine, and it is the part that most resembles the rest of the Mahjong Wins line.

Free Spins

Three or more scatters of either type open the round with 10 free spins, and each scatter past the third adds 2 more. Retriggers work on the same count. Special reels come into play, reel 3 turns gold, and the multiplier ladder starts higher. The round does not have the disc, so the prize ladder and the free spins are two separate routes to a win, never the same one.

The Mahjong Wins Line

This is the Mahjong Wins 3 build with the Super Scatter layer Pragmatic Play fitted to several of its biggest 2025 releases. Same tile art, same staggered frame. If you have played anything else in the Mahjong Wins family, the standard game will feel like a re-release because everything new here is in one symbol.

Triple Pot is one of the newer and more popular releases from 2026, which frequently shows up high on our most-played games.

How to Play

The tile columns are not the same height. Reels 1 and 5 show 4 tiles, and reels 2, 3, and 4 show 5, which is what produces the 2,000 ways figure and gives the frame its diamond outline. A way is any run of matching tiles on adjacent columns starting at reel 1, so coverage matters more than position, and a tile landing at the top of a tall column counts for exactly as much as one in the middle of a short one. The staggering also shapes the two scatter symbols. The ordinary scatter can land in any column, whereas the disc uses only the three tall ones, leaving it with 15 of the 23 tile positions on the board.

The Maths Behind the Cap

The paytable is where the top prize stops looking like part of the same game. The best tile, the green 發, returns 2.5x for five across the frame, and the two bamboo tiles return 0.30x for the same run. Against those numbers, the smallest Super Scatter prize, 50x, is 20 times the best thing the tiles can do on their own, and every rung above it is another order of magnitude. The tiles cover the small wins, and the discs decide whether anything large happens.

The buy is priced at 100x the stake, which is twice what one disc returns and a fifth of what two return. For a round that cannot produce a disc, that is a fair enough price, because you are buying the higher multiplier ladder and a gold middle reel, not the prize ladder. Anyone chasing the top number has to do it in standard play, at whatever stake they have chosen, one spin at a time.

The cap behaves the same way on every Pragmatic release. Once a round’s total win reaches the maximum, the game stops there, pays what is owed, and drops any free spins still to come. On a game whose advertised prize is the maximum, that stopping rule is the finish line. Every other game in the studio’s range treats its maximum as a distant limit the paytable never approaches, whereas here the maximum and the advertised prize are the same figure.

Ultimate Slots Verdict

A competent Mahjong Wins re-release carrying one enormous prize that almost nobody reaches. The tumble multipliers and the gold middle reel are what you'll actually play. Worth a demo run for the tile art, the staggered frame, and the long multiplier chains.

3.5/5 Very Good

✓ What We Like

  • The top prize pays out of standard play, with no free spins round needed to reach it
  • Gold tiles on the inner columns turn wild after a win, so tumble chains run longer than the tile pays alone would support
  • Reel 3 arrives entirely gold during free spins, giving the middle column wild coverage on every tumble
  • The free spins multiplier ladder is a real step up on the standard one rather than a token increase
  • Retriggers extend the round on the same terms as the trigger, with no stated limit on how often
  • The staggered tile frame gives the board a silhouette the studio's other ways games do not have

✗ What Could Be Better

  • The top rung needs four discs plus a fourth scatter beside them, so the headline figure describes one board almost nobody will build
  • Take the discs out, and the standard game is close to a straight re-release of an earlier Mahjong Wins build
  • The Super Scatter never appears during free spins, so the round you can buy is the one round that cannot pay the prize the game advertises

Detailed Review

What the Mahjong Wins Super Scatter Demo is Like

Three and a half out of five, because the standard game is a solid Mahjong Wins re-release, and the difference in this version is a prize almost nobody will reach. That reads harsher than it’s meant to. The game is well made; the interesting number and the playable game are two different things.

The tile art is the best of it, spin to spin. Ivory faces, green and red inks, a pair of dragons behind the frame, and a multiplier banner that lights in sequence as a chain runs. The staggered columns give the board a shape most ways games do not have, and the audio is restrained by this studio’s standards. Nothing in the presentation is loud, which suits a game whose good moments arrive as long tumble chains rather than as one big hit.

An Honest Comparison

Read the numbers honestly, and the picture is mixed. The published return is ordinary for the studio, so with a cap this size, almost all of it comes from tile wins and the occasional deep chain, and the top rung adds little. Long stretches without a scatter trigger are normal, and free play shows that shape quickly. When they do arrive, the discs tend to come one at a time.

The other Super Scatter conversions make the choice easy enough. Gates of Olympus Super Scatter shipped the layer first and tops out at half of what the mahjong build offers, and Sugar Rush Super Scatter pairs the same discs with a cluster grid and a very different rhythm. Pick between them on the standard game rather than the headline, because the discs behave identically in all three.

Frequently Asked Questions

Each disc up to the third multiplies the prize by 10, and the fourth multiplies it by 20. The fourth rung also asks for a fourth scatter of either type alongside the discs, so it is a harder board as well as a bigger jump. That single step is where the whole of Mahjong Wins Super Scatter's headline figure comes from.
No. The game takes the disc off the reels for the whole round, so the cash ladder pays only in standard play. Free spins pay through tile wins and the higher tumble multipliers instead.
A gold-framed tile is an ordinary paying tile until it takes part in a win. It then turns wild for the next tumble, which can extend a chain that would otherwise have stopped there. Gold tiles appear on the three inner columns only.
No. It climbs through the tumbles that follow a single spin and resets once that chain ends. A long chain from one spin is therefore worth more than the same number of tiles cleared across two separate spins.
It opens the round immediately at the posted price, with 3, 4, or 5 scatters landing at random on the triggering spin. You are buying the higher multiplier ladder and the gold middle reel, and none of the Super Scatter cash ladder.
The layout is deliberate. Four positions on each outer column and five on each inner one multiply out to the game's advertised ways total, and that same shape limits the discs, which use the inner columns only.
