Stakelogic’s Wild Wild Bass Demo

Two fisherman Wilds are the hinge of the Wild Wild Bass slot, and they can land only on reels 1 and 2. Bass tiles land with money values in regular play, yet the game pays them only in Big Catch or Insane Catch, and both features start from that pair.
Under a breaking wave, the six reels are set underwater, with columns of bubbles between them and purple seaweed at the edges. Stakelogic released the game in May 2022.
Slot Features
The Two-Wild Gate
The fisherman Wild, a bearded man in a red cap holding a pale fish, lands on the first two reels and nowhere else. Two of them start Big Catch, and reels 3 to 6 grow to five high while the spin is still running, raising the count to up to 5,625 ways. Every Bass on screen then pays its value on top of the normal way wins. On the next spin, the reels drop back to their standard height. Wild Wild Riches from Pragmatic Play guards its pots of gold the same way, paying them only when wilds land on reel 1 and reel 2.
Bass Money Tiles

A Bass tile is a green fish on an orange-yellow square, with its value on a lilac label underneath. Each tile shows a random value, some multiple of the bet, which the game awards only during Big Catch or Insane Catch, on top of any way wins. In regular play, these tiles land, show their numbers, and go unpaid. They have no row in the paytable.
Insane Catch Spins
The Insane Catch symbol, a bunch of green fish hanging on hooks, appears only on reel 6. If it lands during Big Catch, with the two Wilds already in place, Insane Catch starts with 2, 3, or 5 Insane spins. Reels 1 and 2 merge into one multiplier reel that shows a new value from x2 to x5 on each spin, and reels 3 to 6 break apart into 20 independent reels. Only Bass, Insane Catch symbols, or blanks can land on them, and the grid clears at the start of each spin. Each Bass pays its value times that spin’s multiplier. More Insane Catch symbols add more spins, each one at the same stake as the spin that started the feature.
| Screen | Reels | What pays |
|---|---|---|
| Regular play | 3-3-4-4-4-4, up to 2,304 ways | Way wins only; Bass values unpaid |
| Big Catch | 3-3-5-5-5-5, up to 5,625 ways | Way wins plus every Bass value |
| Insane Catch | One multiplier reel and 20 independent reels | Bass values times that spin’s x2 to x5 |
How to Play
A Lopsided Grid
The two Wild reels are also the short ones. Reels 1 and 2 show three symbols each, and reels 3 to 6 show four, which gives up to 2,304 ways in regular play. A pay needs the same symbol on at least three side-by-side reels, counting from the far left, and it can be in any position on each of them. A way only ever pays its best win, and wins on separate ways add up. During Big Catch, the same rule covers up to 5,625 ways for that one spin, and every Bass value pays on top.
Bonus Buy RTP
Stakelogic quotes a return to player, or RTP, of 96.01%. 1,239x is the largest win Stakelogic lists for Wild Wild Bass. Buy Bonus, a 100x purchase of the bonus feature, opens from the round gold star button on the left-hand side of the screen. If you switch on Super Stake, each spin costs double the bet, and the chance of Wilds landing in regular play doubles as well.
Wild Wild Bass Payouts
The fishing rod and the seagull pay identical amounts, up to 15x for six, while the J, 10, and 9 share the lowest pays, 1x for six. The shortest win is three matching reels from the left, worth 0.2x for the J, 10, or 9 and 1x for the rod or the seagull. The figures below multiply the total stake.
| Symbol | 3 reels | 4 reels | 5 reels | 6 reels |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fishing rod | 1x | 5x | 10x | 15x |
| Seagull | 1x | 5x | 10x | 15x |
| Fishing float | 0.7x | 1.5x | 3x | 5x |
| Life ring | 0.5x | 1x | 1.5x | 2.5x |
| Tackle box | 0.5x | 1x | 1.5x | 2.5x |
| A | 0.4x | 0.6x | 1x | 2x |
| K | 0.4x | 0.6x | 1x | 2x |
| Q | 0.4x | 0.6x | 1x | 2x |
| J | 0.2x | 0.4x | 0.6x | 1x |
| 10 | 0.2x | 0.4x | 0.6x | 1x |

No row exists for the Wild, the Bass tile, or the Insane Catch symbol.
Ultimate Slots Verdict
Two fisherman Wilds on reels 1 and 2 are the gate to the Bass money in Wild Wild Bass.
Big Catch pays the tiles on top of way wins for one spin, and a reel 6 symbol landing in it starts the payoff, Insane Catch, with 20 single reels and a new x2 to x5 each spin. A 15x top symbol pay holds the rest back.
Hits What we like
- Insane Catch, started by its reel 6 symbol during Big Catch, rebuilds the screen as 20 single reels where only Bass, Insane Catch symbols, or blanks land, with a new x2 to x5 multiplier on each spin.
- Two Wilds start Big Catch, which pays every Bass value on top of the way wins across up to 5,625 ways for one spin.
- Insane Catch symbols that land during the feature add more spins to the 2, 3, or 5 it starts with.
- Wilds land on reels 1 and 2 only, so one look at reels 1 and 2 tells you whether the Bass on screen can pay.
- Wins follow one clear rule, a match on at least three neighbouring reels from the far left, across up to 2,304 ways in regular play.
Misses What could be better
- A single way pays 15x at most, for six fishing rods or six seagulls.
- Buy Bonus costs 100x for the bonus feature but doesn't say which of the two features it starts.
Detailed Review
Our Review
A 3.6 out of 5 in this review comes down to the gate. In regular spins, every Bass pay in Wild Wild Bass comes through two Wilds on reels 1 and 2, and both features behind that pair change the screen in ways regular play doesn’t.
Take the features away, and this is a fishing slot with a modest table. Six rods or six seagulls pay 15x, the card ranks pay 2x or 1x for six, and the uneven grid offers up to 2,304 ways. The Bass tiles are the hard part to watch. In free play, a whole column of them can land with its values showing and nothing on reels 1 and 2 to collect it. That unpaid money is the game’s tease and its frustration at once.
Big Catch is the plainer of the two features. It needs two Wilds, lasts one spin, stretches the last four reels for up to 5,625 ways, and pays every Bass on top of the way wins. Insane Catch is the best idea here. Its reel 6 symbol has to land during Big Catch, and then only Bass, Insane Catch symbols, or blanks can fill the 20 single reels, with a fresh x2 to x5 on each of the 2, 3, or 5 spins and more spins added by further Insane Catch symbols. Each of those spins starts on an empty grid, so every Bass that lands is fresh money. The x5 limit is where it falls short.
Wild Wild Bass came first. Stakelogic followed it with Wild Wild Bass 2, which kept the path from Wilds to Big Catch to Insane Catch and raised the Insane multiplier to x1 to x10, and Wild Wild Bass 3, which lists a 10,000x top win. Beside them, the original is the simplest of the three, and its Insane multiplier stops at x5 where its first sequel reaches x10.
