About the Break the Piggy Bank Demo

Five gold piggy banks hang over the reels of Break the Piggy Bank, one per reel, and this whole slot is about smashing them. A Golden Coin that lands takes a shot at the bank above its reel, with a chance to break it and trigger Hold & Win. During the feature, each Collector counts to 500x and no further. Get four of them to 500x in the same Hold & Win, and that’s one of two routes to the 2500x Grand.
The host is a pig in a purple top hat and gold glasses, grinning wide in a purple suit and lavender cravat. On the splash, he stands in an open golden doorway with gold coins at his feet, a gold pig-head cane in one hand and a cigar in the other. Behind the reels, stone pillars wear grey stone pig heads in their own small purple top hats, and the arched windows glow yellow.
Slot Features
Golden Coins and the Banks

Golden Coins show Cash Prizes of 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 7x, or 10x. When one lands, it throws a coin towards the Piggy bank above its reel, and each coin has a chance to break that bank. Any cracks you see on a bank are purely for visual entertainment and have no influence on triggering the feature. Prize values switch to bet multipliers when they’re too big to display.
Hold & Win
When a bank breaks, Hold & Win starts, and a Collector covers the whole reel beneath each broken bank. The reels then show only Golden Coins, Jackpot Coins, Collectors, and Empty symbols. You start with 3 Free Spins, and each time a Golden Coin or Jackpot Coin lands, the count resets to 3.
The Collectors gather the prizes of all Golden Coins and Jackpot Coins, no more than 500x per Collector, and pay them out when the feature ends. Break another bank mid-feature, and the game adds a new Collector to the reel beneath it after the Cash and Jackpot Prizes have been collected.
| Route to the Grand | What must happen in the same Hold & Win |
|---|---|
| Every bank | All 5 Piggy banks break |
| Four full Collectors | 4 Collectors reach 500x |
| Either route pays the 2500x Grand, and awarding it ends the feature. | |
Break the Piggy Bank came out in 2025, and Break More Piggy Banks followed on 26 November 2025 with Piggy Multipliers up to 3x on the banks.
Five Jackpots
The jackpots are Mini 20x, Minor 50x, Major 100x, Maxi 250x, and Grand 2500x, with the Grand tied to the two routes above. During Hold & Win, a Jackpot Coin that reveals a jackpot’s name awards that prize.
Buy and Double Chance
The BUY BONUS button opens a window of features for sale, Buy Hold & Win among them, with its cost shown there and changing as you raise or lower your stake. Double Chance, activated from the same window, is a bet mode. It adds to your total bet on each spin and modifies the chance of winning the feature.
How to Play
The Coin Sack Wild
The Wild is a red-brown sack spilling gold coins, and its paytable row has a single entry, 75x for five on a line. It replaces every other symbol except Golden Coins. Lines are fixed at 5, the top, middle, and bottom rows plus a V and an inverted V, and wins pay across adjacent reels starting from the leftmost. With so few lines, you can check any win by eye.
Slot RTP
What can a spin cost in the demo? Anything from €0.10 up to €200. Octoplay gives the game a theoretical RTP of 95.72%.
Demo Paytable
The scales lead the regular symbols, A and K share one set of values, and Q, J, and 10 share a lower one.
| Symbol | 3 | 4 | 5 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coin sack Wild | – | – | 75x |
| Scales | 10x | 20x | 50x |
| Top hat | 5x | 10x | 25x |
| Cocktail glass | 3x | 6x | 15x |
| Pig-head cane | 3x | 6x | 15x |
| A | 2x | 4x | 10x |
| K | 2x | 4x | 10x |
| Q | 1x | 2x | 5x |
| J | 1x | 2x | 5x |
| 10 | 1x | 2x | 5x |
Read each pay above as times your total bet. The Wild’s row has a five and nothing else, and Golden Coins have no row.
Ultimate Slots Verdict
The 500x limit on each Collector defines Break the Piggy Bank. It turns Hold & Win into a count you can follow, with four Collectors at 500x or all 5 banks broken in the same feature as the two routes to the 2500x Grand. The trigger is just as visible, a coin thrown at the bank above each Golden Coin's reel with a chance to break it. Around that, five lines and a 75x top line pay give regular play very little weight, and awarding the Grand, by either route in the same Hold & Win, ends the feature.
✓ What We Like
- Two stated routes to the 2500x Grand, all 5 banks breaking or 4 Collectors reaching 500x in the same Hold & Win
- A visible trigger, with each Golden Coin throwing at the bank above its reel for a chance to break it
- Hold & Win spins reset to 3 whenever a Golden Coin or Jackpot Coin lands
- Four Jackpot Coin prizes, Mini 20x to Maxi 250x, each paid when a Jackpot Coin reveals its name during Hold & Win
- A pig in a purple top hat, a coin-sack Wild, and stone pig heads on the pillars give it a clear look
✗ What Could Be Better
- Line pays stop at 75x, and the Wild pays that only for five on a line
- Reaching the Grand, through all 5 banks or 4 Collectors at 500x in one Hold & Win, ends the feature
- Each Collector stops at 500x, however many coin prizes it gathers
Detailed Review
Octoplay’s Break the Piggy Bank Reviewed
Break the Piggy Bank earns 3.8/5 because its Hold & Win can be read in full before your opening spin, with two stated routes to the Grand, while the 5-line game around it has little to offer. As a benchmark for Octoplay’s bank-breaking format, that’s the right way round, and it’s the frame the later Break the Bank games start from. The feature comes down to five banks, a reset to 3, a 500x limit per Collector, and two ways to the Grand, and you can keep all of that in your head while it plays out.
The line pays are where it’s thin. The scales pay 50x for five, the Wild’s one entry is 75x for five, and the card ranks give 5x or 10x for a full line. This is a Low volatility slot, and those numbers fit the label. The symbols have more personality than the pays, from the coin-sack Wild to the purple top hat on its green tile, but no line in the table goes past 75x. Golden Coins are also the one symbol the Wild doesn’t replace. If you came for line hits, you’ll find a tidy paytable and not much drama in it.
Hold & Win is where the design thinking shows. A limit of 500x per Collector sounds like a restriction, and it is one, but it also hands the feature a finish line you can count towards. Within one Hold & Win, four Collectors reaching 500x bring the 2500x Grand, and so do all five banks breaking, and the feature ends there either way. Some will find that abrupt. I’d rather know where the round stops than guess. The trigger is just as readable, because each Golden Coin throws at the bank above its own reel with a chance to break it, and you can watch it happen. The cracks change nothing, and you’ll still stare at the bank anyway, which is the anticipation a game like this trades on.
Octoplay’s own figure for the top win is 4,500x. A thin base and a modest RTP keep the score in this review under 4. In return, you get a bonus you could explain to a friend in a minute, on a demo that costs nothing to try. Spend some free play waiting for a bank to break, and you’ll have seen the whole idea.
