Three chilli pots hover above the reels in this slot, with matching peppers landing inside them with a crackle of fire as the spins play out. Each pot builds its own collection of chillies, growing a little higher with every one that lands. Despite appearances, these piles are not counting towards a trigger or prize, as a single chilli can be enough to activate the Hold and Win bonus regardless of how many have gathered in the other pots.
Playson gives the game a lively Mexican celebration theme, with amigos appearing among the reels, wearing the feature pots as hats and looking around before disappearing again. A bright, festive soundtrack completes the presentation, while beneath the colourful theme sits a pot bonus that Playson has effectively given two ways to play.
The bonus uses three chili symbols, in violet, yellow and green, each with its own feature. Landing any one may trigger the Hold and Win, with more golden bonus symbols appearing until six are on the reels. Each carries a cash value of 1x to 12x the bet. You then get three respins, with each new symbol resetting the counter to three. The bonus ends when the respins run out or every cell is filled. The triggering colour, along with any others that land, determines the feature:
Because the trigger can bring more than one colour, a round can run two of these together, or even all of them! The bonus carries jackpots of its own too. Mini, Minor and Major coins worth 15x, 30x and 100x can drop from the bonus symbols, and filling the whole board pays the Grand of 3,000x, each figure rising with your stake.
The pinata shows up only in the bonus, and when it lands, it bursts into one of the chili colours at random. That can activate a missing feature or enhance the current live one.
The mariachi Super Chili is the premium bonus symbol, and it turns up only in the ordinary spins. Land one, and it can open the Super Bonus, where the board grows from 5×3 to 5×5 with a fresh row above and below and a feature in play from the off.
Inside the round, the Super Chili picks up a value of its own, anywhere from 7x to 10x the bet. Fill all 25 cells there, and it pays the Super Jackpot of 10,000x the bet. The Major, Minor and Mini jackpots land straight from special bonus symbols, at 100x, 30x and 15x, while the Grand of 3,000x needs 15 filled, and every figure rises with your stake.
If you would rather skip the build-up, two buttons open the bonus for a price. A 70x buy sends you into a random round with a mix of the features, whilst a 150x buy opens the Super Bonus version with the mariachi and its bigger board.
Unlike the 5-line boards its clover and diamond cousins run on, this one pays across 25 fixed lines, so a spin has far more ways to land a small win, all building from the first reel. The chili bonuses and jackpots stay out of the paytable, since they pay only inside the bonus, and the sombrero chihuahua wild fills in for the ordinary symbols on reels 2 to 5, standing aside only for the bonus and jackpot pieces. A Hold for Turbo button speeds the reels up if you fancy quicker gameplay.
Bets span 0.20 to 100.00 a spin. The demo shows no currency symbol, so the totals stand as plain numbers, and we have treated them here as pounds. The volatility sits high, and no round pays beyond 15,000x the bet, the point at which it ends and settles up.
The pays below are multiples of the stake, the values the game lists on its own screens.
| Symbol | 5 of a kind | 4 of a kind | 3 of a kind |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hot Sauce | 10x | 3x | 0.6x |
| Tequila Glass | 8x | 2x | 0.5x |
| Maracas | 6x | 1.5x | 0.4x |
| Trumpet | 4x | 1x | 0.3x |
| A, K, Q, J | 2x | 0.4x | 0.2x |
Even the hot sauce at the top pays only 10x for a line, which keeps the paytable low.
4 Chili Amigos follows on from the Mascot Gamings Clover and Diamond Hold and Wins titles. The Mexican makeover catches the eye, but the real move is below the surface, where 25 paylines replace the 5 those two ran on. The round they feed is the Hold and Win the studio has run twice before, and it still holds the game up. That is the Mystery pot's doing. One Mystery chili can pay a jackpot outright the moment it lands, without the board ever loading up, which is what stops a short bonus feeling empty.
This is the third of Playson’s four-pot Hold and Win games, released in April 2026 and the closest of them to where the line began. The 4 Super Charged Clovers ran Multi, Mystery and Collect, whilst the 4 Super Shiny Diamond follow-up swapped Mystery for a Charge feature, and the chillies restore the first trio and bring back the two-price buy the diamonds had dropped. The difference is the board beneath all that. It spins on 25 fixed lines where both siblings ran 5, and in free play it showed, with small returns in the 0.40 to 5.00 range coming often between rounds.
The bonus here is the round the line has always run, and our time with it for this review showed most of the shapes that the game offers. A Multi round, the pinata firing beside it, put x3 and x5 multipliers onto the grid that turned a 5.00 and a 2.00 into 15.00 and 10.00, closing at 52.00. The Mystery round that followed did better, two chillies each worth a Minor jackpot of 30.00 on the way to 81.00, the best of the run. A Super Bonus widened the board to 5×5 but ran short of respins before its multipliers found much to sit on, ending at 62.00 — proof that a busier round is not always a richer one, since the biggest win came from the plainer Mystery board.
The animations that open each bonus are a nice touch, though the frame rate dips visibly while they play, before the reels get going. Even the pinata, the one part that looks new, is the clover game’s older bonus symbol under a brighter name, waking or feeding a feature just as it did there. What the theme and the 25 lines change is the time between bonuses, not the bonus itself.
Which of the three to play depends on what you want from it. If it is a busier main game, the chillies are the pick, with 20 more lines than the clover game ran and a cast of amigos on top. Anyone who has played one of these four-pot rounds to the end will recognise every part of this one, because the bonus is the same round the clover and diamond games run. What the chillies change is the main game around it.
