The Firestrike Ladder

5,000x tells you what this game is. That is what all 15 grid positions pay when Firestrike symbols fill them, and it is one fifth of what the same 15 positions pay when every one of them is a wild.
Take the jackpot out, and the ladder is a moderate earner. Counts of 9 and 11 return 25x and 150x, and neither is common on a grid holding just 15 positions. The line pays are sober as well, and the red seven, best of the standard set, does little to lift them. For long stretches, this plays like the 2019 fruit machine it descends from, with a banner overhead advertising a result that will not arrive for most players.
The free spins round is where the numbers move. Sticky Firestrikes accumulate over 12 spins instead of resetting, the shifted ladder hands every count an extra rung of value, and the jackpot will take any 15 Firestrike symbols instead of 15 wilds. That is a real change in the odds on the biggest prize. There is no bonus buy in this game, so three scatters are the only way in, and on 10 fixed lines with no ante bet, they don’t arrive often.
Series Context
Set against the original Fire Strike, the additions are worth having. Fire Strike had the ladder and the jackpot and nothing to interrupt them; the sequel gives the top of that ladder a round in which it becomes reachable rather than theoretical. The art is unchanged: chrome and lava; the sound is the same slot-hall clatter; and the reels are still 10 lines of bars and sevens, plain against most of the Pragmatic Play catalogue.
