xWays Hoarder xSplit Demo by Nolimit City
Three xSplit Wilds can stack on reel 5, and when they do, every symbol on all three rows to their left is cut in two and doubled. Catch an xWays reveal in that cut, and the multiplier riding it doubles as well. This is how a 5×3 board holding 243 ways reaches 95,760 of them, and why a set of reels whose best five of a kind returns 5x still runs to a cap of 11,030x. Nolimit City built it in July 2021, a year before the studio became part of Evolution, and the maths has aged well.
Slot Bonus Features
xWays on the Middle Reels
xWays symbols land on reels 2, 3, and 4 only. Each stands 2 to 4 positions tall and reveals a random regular symbol, and when several land together, every one of them shows that same symbol. The ways counter moves with each reveal, so 243 is a resting figure.
xSplit Wilds and Their Stacks
xSplit Wilds reach reels 3, 4, and 5 in standard play: single on reel 3, two stacked on reel 4, and three stacked on reel 5. Each splits and doubles every symbol on its row to the left. A symbol cut more than once then carries a multiplier, and an xWays caught in a split has its multiplier doubled once per cut. It then settles into a regular Wild, which the next xSplit can split again.
The Fallout Scatter and the Super Scatter
The Fallout Scatter lands on reels 2 to 5. An xSplit Wild cannot halve it; the Scatter upgrades to a Super Scatter instead, which changes what a trigger is worth rather than how often one arrives. Three or more Scatters of either kind open Bunker Raid Spins.
Bunker Raid Spins
The free spins turn up about once every 307 spins, with three Scatters worth 7 and four worth 10. Once you’re in, xWays symbols stop being temporary. Each one sinks to the lowest free spot on its reel, joins any xWays already sitting there, sticks, and adds a spin. Land a Super Scatter on the trigger, and it converts itself and everything beneath it into sticky xWays as the round opens.
Hoarder Level Up and Wasteland Spins
Every third xWays collected raises the Hoarder a level. Level 1 strips the weakest character and object symbols off the reels, level 2 the next pair up, level 3 the pair above that. Wasteland Spins is the last rung and leaves only 4 different symbols in play.
How to Play
Splitting an xWays
A split is worth more than a doubled symbol on this board. When an xSplit Wild cuts an xWays reveal, the multiplier on that reveal doubles, so two stacked blades on reel 4 double it twice and three on reel 5 double it three times over. The ways count climbs with every cut, from 243 at rest to 95,760 at the far end.
Wins begin on reel 1 and run right across touching reels, each way paying its strongest combination and nothing under it. Nolimit City has released odder-looking games since, Golden Shower among them, though few hand one Wild this much to do.
Demo RTP
Bets begin at €0.20, and the biggest cell on the grid reads €100. Return is 96.14%, the highest headline figure across this run of Nolimit City reviews, and the rest of the numbers are in the table below.
The volatility is Extreme, which on this game says more about distribution than size. The maximum payout is the smallest the studio gives an xWays board, so the swing comes from how seldom the ways count and the stacked multipliers arrive together, not from the scale of what waits at the end. We rate it High, the tier this site gives the studio’s whole range, and read the Extreme label as a warning about the stretches between features.

Slot Paytable

Five survivors head the table and the hazmat skull is the only one to reach 5x for five. Underneath them, the supplies are packed so tightly that 0.1x separates the toilet roll from the jerrycan at five of a kind, and all five supply symbols return 0.2x or 0.25x for three.
| Symbol | 3 | 4 | 5 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hazmat skull | 1x | 2x | 5x |
| Gas mask and dreadlocks | 0.75x | 1.5x | 3.75x |
| Karen | 0.5x | 1.25x | 2.5x |
| Pipe-smoking prospector | 0.4x | 1.1x | 2x |
| Old man in a surgical mask | 0.3x | 1x | 1.5x |
| Geiger counter | 0.25x | 0.75x | 1.25x |
| First aid kit | 0.25x | 0.7x | 1.15x |
| Jerrycan | 0.2x | 0.6x | 1.1x |
| Water canteen | 0.2x | 0.55x | 1.05x |
| Toilet roll | 0.2x | 0.5x | 1x |
The No Limit Wild, the Fallout Scatter, and the xWays symbol have no rows of their own. The Wild stands in for every symbol bar the Scatter and always completes the best combination available to it.
Ultimate Slots Verdict
A small cap on a board with an enormous ways count, and the two facts are the same design decision. The doubling xSplit is the reason to play this apocalypse slot in free play; the sparse trigger is the reason it needs patience.
✓ What We Like
- xSplit Wilds double an xWays multiplier once per cut, and stack two and three high on reels 4 and 5
- 243 ways opening out to 95,760, with sticky xWays merging and adding spins inside Bunker Raid Spins
- Hoarder Level Up removes the weakest symbols in stages, so the bonus gets better the longer it runs
✗ What Could Be Better
- The maximum payout is the lowest Nolimit City gives an xWays board
- A trigger this sparse leaves long stretches on a pay table that tops out at 5x
Detailed Review
Our Review
Two xSplit blades are stacked on reel 5, a Fallout Scatter occupies the middle row, the counter still reads 243, and nothing is paying. That screen is the clearest picture of the game there is, because almost everything of value on these reels is potential rather than pay, waiting on a second symbol to turn it into a number.
The art commits properly to its bunker, and as apocalypse slots go, the register is unusually well judged. Five survivors in gas masks and hazmat suits are over a Geiger counter, a first aid kit, a jerrycan, a canteen, and a roll of toilet paper, with no card ranks anywhere, and the backdrop is a sunset over flattened houses. Nolimit City has done grim before; this one is closer to comic than to dread, and the joke lands because the low symbols are what you hoard.
The numbers argue with each other in a useful way. The return is the strongest headline in the studio’s current batch on this site, yet 5x for five of a kind is among its weakest top rows, which places most of the return inside Bunker Raid Spins rather than in standard play. The engine is built to reach that round and then make the round wider, and Hoarder Level Up is the part doing the real work, because stripping the weakest symbols off the reels raises the odds of a full-width match at exactly the moment sticky xWays have inflated the ways count.
Against that, the maximum payout is a third of what the studio’s later prison and submarine boards allow, and the trigger is the rarest in this batch, so a demo run can last a long time on standard spins alone. Nolimit City’s published buys put a three-Scatter entry at 95x the bet, four Scatters at 180x, and a Super Scatter start at 777x, and that ladder says plainly which door the studio thinks is worth the most. Free play removes the cost of finding out, which suits a game this patient. The rest of the studio’s range is on the Nolimit City hub if this one runs cold.
xWays Hoarder 2 came later and lifted the cap, and the sequel is the one most players reach for now. The original is still the tidier explanation of why these two x symbols were built to meet.
