Playtech’s King of Olympus Demo

King of Olympus splash: Zeus in lightning between a golden brazier with an x500 fireball and three multiplier orbs
"FREE GAMES WITH STICKY MULTIPLIERS" under Zeus, with a brazier firing an x500 fireball on the left and x5, x10, and x500 orbs on the right

This is Playtech Origins’ 2026 King of Olympus on a 6×5 grid, not the 2016 Age of the Gods: King of Olympus. In it, 12 or more laurel wreaths pay 5x the bet, the biggest award on the paytable. The same slot lets a single win reach 5,000x the base bet. Read those two figures side by side and the multipliers are the story here, a bar that counts each win in a spin from 0 and fireballs that join it whenever the spin has a win.

Slot Features

King of Olympus 6x5 board in a gold temple frame with BUY FEATURE and EXTRA BET panels, three BONUS tiles and two fireballs
BUY FEATURE (75x the bet) and EXTRA BET (+20%, shown OFF) are stacked left of the 6×5 board, with three BONUS tiles, a Mystery Fireball, and an x5 fireball on the reels

Multiplier Bar

Each paid spin opens with the bar at 0. Any win in that spin adds +1, including the wins that form after winning symbols explode and new ones drop into the gaps. When no further win comes, the game multiplies the spin’s total by the bar’s final figure, and the next paid spin resets it.

During Free Games, the bar does not reset between spins.

Fireballs

Fireballs land in two forms. A Multiplier Fireball is an orange-red ball with its value written in white, such as x5. A Mystery Fireball, a cyan orb covered in question marks, chooses a random multiplier up to x500. Either one is activated if the spin has a win, and the bar then updates with its value.

The Flames

A golden brazier stands on each side of the reels. On any spin, the flames may fire a Multiplier Fireball onto the board, and that fireball then needs a win in the spin like one that landed by itself.

Free Games

Zeus, king of the Greek gods, fronts the BONUS scatter in a gold frame. Free Games start from 4 BONUS symbols anywhere on the reels, with 4, 5, or 6 or more giving 10, 12, or 14 spins. The splash labels the round as “FREE GAMES WITH STICKY MULTIPLIERS”, and the bar holding its count from spin to spin is what that means in play. A fireball marked with a + that lands with any symbol win adds its number to the spins, so a round can outlast its opening count.

Buy Feature

Buy Feature costs 75 times the total bet and lands 4 to 6 scatters at random, so a bought round opens with 10, 12, or 14 Free Games.

Extra Bet

Switching Extra Bet on adds 20% to the original bet, and in return, Free Games trigger more frequently.

How to Play

Eight Anywhere

Wins in King of Olympus come from counting symbols. A win needs at least 8 copies of one symbol, wherever they land on the 6×5 reels, and the paytable steps up at 10 and again at 12. Each symbol has three pay levels, for 8 or more, 10 or more, and 12 or more, and the table below lists them from the top level down. Winning symbols pay, then explode, and replacements fall into the spaces they leave. If the refilled board makes another win, that one pays as well and adds another +1 to the multiplier bar, so a single paid spin can chain several wins before the bar’s figure is applied to all of them.

The BONUS scatter and the two fireballs work through Free Games and the bar rather than through the paytable.

Bet Setup

Two bets matter in this game. Playtech ties the cap to the base bet, and 5,000 times the base bet is as far as a win goes, bought Free Games included. Buy Feature, by contrast, is priced on the total bet. That split shows once Extra Bet is on, since the toggle puts a fifth more per spin on top of the base bet for better chances of Free Games, while the cap is still counted against the base bet alone.

Symbol Payouts

The laurel wreath alone pays more than 2.5x, and it does so for 12 or more. Two pairs share their rows, the ring with the chalice and the lyre with the lion scroll, and the four gems close the table, down to 0.1x for 8 blue triangles. The table’s figures are all multiples of whatever the total bet is.

Symbol 12+ 10+ 8+
Laurel wreath 5x 2x 1x
Ring 2.5x 1x 0.5x
Chalice 2.5x 1x 0.5x
Lyre 1x 0.6x 0.4x

Pink diamond gem 0.8x 0.5x 0.3x

Ultimate Slots Verdict

A 4.3 for one rule done well.

The multiplier bar adds +1 for any win in a spin and, during Free Games, does not reset between spins, which lifts a paytable whose best award is 5x for 12 wreaths. Fireballs, the Mystery one up to x500, join it when the spin has a win. Outside Free Games, the bar resets on every paid spin, and that is what keeps the score from going higher.

Hits What we like

  • The multiplier bar does not reset between Free Games spins.
  • A Mystery Fireball can be worth up to x500 when it lands with a win.
  • The flames may fire a Multiplier Fireball on any spin.
  • Fireballs with a + add spins to Free Games when they land with a symbol win.
  • A win can be as large as 5,000x the base bet.

Misses What could be better

  • The bar resets on every paid spin outside Free Games.
  • Fireballs count only when the spin has a win.

Detailed Review

Demo Review

Zero is the number to keep in mind. The multiplier bar starts there on every paid spin, a win lifts it to 1, and each further win in the same spin adds another step before the total is applied. Between features, the next paid spin wipes that count. In Free Games, it stays, and that single rule is why the game earns a 4.3. With 10, 12, or 14 Free Games and a bar that keeps every step between spins, the round plays as a different game from regular play, and a better one. Red Wizard: Bank It Up, another Origins game, steps its bonus multipliers up a fixed ladder of x1, x2, x3, x5, x8, and x10, whereas this bar starts from 0 and moves with every win.

The fireballs feed the same bar. A Multiplier Fireball shows its value, the Mystery Fireball picks one up to x500, and the two braziers may add a Multiplier Fireball on any spin. Each of them needs a win in the spin before it counts. Against a paytable whose best pay is 5x for 12 wreaths, the x500 Mystery Fireball is the piece worth watching for, because one landing with a win can move the bar further than a long chain of collapses.

The two paid routes are plainer. King of Olympus launched in January 2026 with Buy Feature at 75x, which lands 4 to 6 scatters at random and opens the same 10, 12, or 14 Free Games a natural trigger gives. Extra Bet’s 20% is the smaller commitment, paid on each spin it’s switched on. In free play, the 75x price costs nothing, so the demo is where a bought round with a held bar can be watched from start to finish. A fireball can also land and glow on the reels, then count for nothing because the spin had no win.

The limitation is the main game. Outside Free Games, each paid spin starts the bar again at 0, so regular play leans on a table whose top row is 5x. Only Free Games let the bar keep what it counts.
