Triple Profits Games built Rise of Thunder 1888x around a familiar blueprint: a 6×5 scatter pays grid, Zeus at the side of the reels, and multiplier orbs that can land anywhere on the board. Clusters of eight or more symbols pay regardless of position, wins cascade into further wins, and multiplier symbols accumulate toward a total applied at the end of each spin. The 1888x in the title refers to the highest multiplier value available, not the max win. It’s a number that takes some building, but the free spins round is where the accumulation mechanic earns its keep.
All symbols pay anywhere on the 6×5 grid. A win forms when 8 or more identical symbols land in any configuration across the screen. The value of each win is determined by the total count of matching symbols at the end of a spin, not by their position. Winning symbols are then removed, and new ones drop in from above. If the new arrangement produces another cluster, the cascade continues until no further winning combinations remain.
Multiplier symbols can land on any position during both standard play and free spins. Each one randomly adopts a value between 2x and 1,888x. In standard play, any multiplier symbols that land on a winning spin are added together and applied to the total winning combination for that spin. In the free spins round, multipliers accumulate across the entire session rather than resetting each spin. Each new multiplier symbol that lands on a winning spin is added to the running total, and that total is then used to multiply subsequent wins.
Landing 4, 5, or 6 scatter symbols triggers 15 free spins. During the round, multipliers build cumulatively with each winning spin and are not reset. Landing 3, 4, 5, or 6 scatters during free spins awards 5 additional spins, with no limit on retriggers. The scatter symbol also pays independently on any position: 4 scatters pays 8x, 5 pays 15x, 6 pays 200x the bet.
The free spins feature can be purchased directly for 90x the current total bet. A counter on the right side of the screen tracks how many times the feature has been bought, alongside the running win totals, giving a clear view of session performance without needing to scroll back through results.
Bet size is controlled via the Bet Denom setting at the bottom right of the screen. The total bet shown is what each spin costs. The Buy Free Games button sits to the right of the reels and costs 90x the current total bet, at a minimum 2.50 total bet, that’s 225 units per purchase. Increasing the bet denomination scales both the spin cost and the buy price proportionally. The panel on the right side of the reels logs each symbol win as it lands, useful for keeping track when cascades stack up quickly
The free play demo runs identically to the real money version, which is worth knowing, given the buy feature costs involved.

A competent scatter pays slot with a strong multiplier accumulation system in free spins. The audio loop is the main drawback. Decent enough for what it is, but the comparison to more polished titles in the same format is hard to avoid.
The multiplier system works as advertised. In the free spins round tested for this review, buying in at 225 units (90x a 2.50 total bet), the multiplier climbed from 2x to 6x by the sixth spin and reached 8x by spin ten. The total return was 177.40, a losing run, but one that clearly showed the structure. The multiplier builds steadily enough that a better-distributed set of winning spins would have returned more.
Standard play is straightforward. The cascade wins chain reasonably well, and the multiplier orbs appear often enough to stay relevant between bonus triggers. Zeus animates on the left side of the screen and appears to react to what’s happening on the reels. The bolts he throws down during the session coincided with bigger moments.
The audio is the most notable flaw in practice. The soundtrack is well-produced initially, dramatic and appropriate for the theme, but there’s no variation in the loop, and muting becomes a quick choice within a few minutes. Without separate music and effects options, the game loses the atmosphere its visual design earns. A fixable problem that genuinely limits the experience.
Players familiar with Gates of Olympus (on this site) will recognise the format immediately. Same grid size, same scatter pays approach, Zeus beside the reels. The feature set here is just simpler, and the max win potential is lower. It serves as an entry point to the format or as a free-play option for players who want the same mechanics from a less-established name.
This free spins round achieved an 8x multiplier, with the action displayed on the right side of the grid.
We didn’t quite break even with this set of free spins!
