Where other entries in the range dress the same Hold & Win engine in neutral colours, this slot leans fully into Día de los Muertos, skull coins, mariachi symbols, candlelit imagery, and the result is one of the more characterful demos in Playtech’s catalogue. The three coloured coin system that defines the series does real design work here, not just cosmetic variation.
The Fire Coin symbol can appear anywhere in view during the main game or during the Gold Trio Respins feature. Landing one triggers the Fire Wheel Feature, which spins a prize wheel. The wheel can award any of the following outcomes: trigger the Gold Trio Respins with one, two, or three pots active in the main game; add a new pot to an active Gold Trio Respins session; award the Mini, Minor, Major, or Grand cash prize directly; or award a cash prize worth up to 5x the total bet.
The Fire Wheel is the only route to triggering Gold Trio Respins with a specific number of coloured coin types pre-selected, rather than depending on which coins happen to land in the main game.
On any spin, the Xolo Dog character may activate randomly and intervene in one of three ways: adding Coloured Coin symbols to the reels during the main game, adding Coloured Coins during the Gold Trio Respins feature, or adding Fire Coins during either phase. The feature is not triggered by a symbol landing — it fires independently of the standard reel outcome.

Landing one, two, or all three coloured coin types anywhere in view during the main game may trigger the Gold Trio Respins feature. When it fires, 3 to 5 coins lock onto a cleared grid and three respins begin. Each additional coin that lands resets the counter back to three. Filling the screen with coins awards the Grand Prize.
Only specific symbol types can appear during respins: Cash Prize Coins, Fire Coins, Mini/Minor/Major Special Prize Coins, and whichever coloured coins triggered the feature. That last point has a practical consequence worth understanding. If only the red coin triggered the bonus, blue and purple coins cannot land during respins regardless of how many times the counter resets. Standard pay symbols and royals are also absent, so the reel set is entirely coin-focused from the first respin onward.
