When active, any Wild that lands on the reels expands to cover its entire reel. This applies to all five reels, so a well-placed wild in this mode can fill a full column and contribute to multiple payline wins simultaneously.
When active, any Uncle, Mask, Drum, or Lantern symbol that is adjacent to a Wild symbol (including diagonally, up to 8 surrounding positions) converts into a Wild. Wilds created by the Contagious effect do not spread further; the contagion stops at one step.
When active, every free spin carries a randomly assigned multiplier of 2x, 3x, or 5x. This applies to all wins on that spin, including any wins produced by the Hold and Respin feature if it triggers during free spins.
Landing 3 or more Coin symbols on a spin triggers the Hold and Respin feature. Three respins are awarded. All Coins stay locked in position while the remaining reel positions spin again. Only Coin and Collect symbols can appear during the feature. Landing any new Coin or Collect symbol resets the respin count back to 3. A Collect symbol immediately awards all Coin prizes currently on the grid. The feature ends when all respins are used or the entire grid is filled with Coin symbols. Coin values range from 10x to 625x the base bet per symbol. If both Hold and Respin and Free Spins are triggered on the same spin, Hold and Respin plays out first.
The Buy Bonus costs 80x your stake and randomly triggers 1, 2, or all 3 free spin features. Which features activate is determined randomly on purchase, with no player input. The Buy Bonus RTP is 96.20%, slightly above the regular game’s 96.00%.

The three-feature free spins structure is genuinely interesting in design — getting all three modes active simultaneously, with Expanding Wilds, Contagious Wilds, and a 5x multiplier all running, produces the kind of spin output that justifies the format. The problem is the Buy Bonus delivers that outcome randomly, which means there's a real chance of paying 80x stake and landing only one feature with little to show for it. That's exactly what happened in our first bonus purchase. The second buy hit all three features and returned €667 from a €5 stake, but the two purchases together cost €800, a net loss that fairly represents the variance involved.
The first impression is a pleasant one. Somewhere between a mountain temple and a blossoming garden, with pagoda rooftops visible in the background and red cherry blossoms framing the scene, the game creates a calm, considered atmosphere. The stallion wild is well-drawn and feels like a natural fit for the theme. The soundtrack is ambient without being intrusive, which is about the most positive thing that can be said about it.
The visual quality is worth a mention. The 3 Wonders series uses a flatter, more illustrative art style compared to Boomerang Studios’ more obviously 3D titles, and in this entry, it tips into soft territory, bordering on pixelated in places. It reads as a deliberate series of aesthetics rather than a technical limitation, but it does sit below the visual standard of comparable medium-volatility releases from other providers.
We played two Buy Bonus rounds at a €5 stake, each costing €400. The first only triggered the Expanding Wild feature; the wild expanded over multiple spins, but there was no return. The second activated all three features simultaneously. With Expanding Wilds, Contagious Wilds, and a Win Multiplier all running together. Four extra free spins were also awarded during the round, and the final payout was €667. Combined with a zero return from the first bonus, the two purchases totalled €800 against a return of €667 — a net loss that accurately reflects what can happen when the random feature selection doesn’t go your way on the first attempt.
The format works well enough when all three features land. The question is whether 80x stake per attempt at a random outcome represents good value, and for most players, the answer will depend entirely on bankroll and tolerance for that kind of variance.
