Master Joker Basics
Five symbols. One row. That’s the whole board in Master Joker, and the single payline the rules talk about is the screen itself. No scatters, no free spins, and no buy button. What you get instead is a joker wheel parked above the strip, and it only wakes up when the wild lands in a win. Pragmatic Play still builds these one-line classics alongside its 6-reel spectacles, and this one keeps its entire paytable to seven symbols.
Gameplay Options
The Multiplier Wheel
The wheel is above the reels the whole time, lit and idle, and any win the joker joins sets it spinning. It stops on 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x, 15x, 25x, 50x, or 100x, and whatever it lands on multiplies the total win for that spin, not only the part the joker was in. That’s the one feature in the game, and it’s the only thing that turns a small fruit win into a big one. You don’t choose to take the wheel, and you can’t decline it, which suits a game this stripped back.
The Joker on Reel 3
The Joker substitutes for everything, and it appears on the middle reel alone. One reel out of five, so the wheel spins a lot less often than its size on screen suggests. That single restriction is doing most of the work in this game’s design. It keeps the wheel rare enough to matter, and it means the middle position is the only one you ever really watch.
Pay Anywhere on One Line
Wins here count symbols, not positions. Three cherries anywhere across the five columns pay exactly what three cherries in a neat row pay, because the total number of matching symbols on screen at the end of the spin decides the value. That’s how the rules can call the row a single payline and describe pay-anywhere scoring at the same time. Both descriptions are true when the screen is one line. It also means you never have to work out whether a win reads from the left, since there’s nowhere else for it to read from.
How to Play
With one row of five symbols to watch, nearly everything else on screen is controls, and on a phone the wheel takes up more room than the reels do. The spin button is the large one in the bottom corner. Hold it down for turbo, and the strip barely settles between spins. Tap the coin stack to open the bet menu, which steps the total up and down and shows it in cash and in coins. The wheel itself isn’t a tap target, and nothing you do changes what it lands on.
Medium-High is the honest tier for a game the rules call Low, and the table below carries the settings the demo runs on.
| Setting | Value |

| Minimum bet | $0.01 |
| Maximum bet | $250.00 |
| RTP | 96.46% |
| Reels | 5×1 |

Master Joker Paytable

The pink seven tops the table at 100x for five of them, and the figures below scale with the total bet ($2.00 in the demo).
| Symbol | 3 | 4 | 5 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pink seven | 15x | 50x | 100x |
| Gold bars | 10x | 25x | 50x |
| Watermelon | 8x | 15x | 25x |
| Plum | 5x | 10x | 15x |
| Cherry | 4x | 8x | 12x |
| Lemon | 2x | 5x | 10x |
| Strawberry | 1x | 3x | 8x |
Joker’s Jewels uses the same fruit-and-joker furniture on a taller grid with five lines, so its symbols have far more places to land and its table runs longer. Master Joker gives that width up for a shorter list and the wheel on top of it.
Ultimate Slots Verdict
Master Joker is about as simple as Pragmatic Play gets, and the wheel is the whole reason to open it. One row, seven paying symbols, a joker on the middle reel, and a multiplier that can rescue any spin it touches. The return is high for the format, the swings run hotter than the format suggests, and meeting it in the demo costs nothing. Nothing here rewards a long sitting.
✓ What We Like
- The wheel multiplies the whole spin's win, not only the part the joker helped make
- The return is high for a single-line fruit machine
- Bets start at one cent, the lowest floor across the studio's range
- Pay-anywhere counting means a scattered three of a kind pays the same as a lined-up one
✗ What Could Be Better
- One feature and nothing behind it, so the game has no second gear
- Long idle runs when the joker misses, with no scatter or free spins to break them up
Detailed Review
How Our Gameplay Went
Three out of five, and the wheel is the reason it isn’t lower. Take the wheel away, and you get a payout table with a spin button attached.
The return is friendlier than the format suggests. One-line classics usually pay for their simplicity with a thin percentage, and this one doesn’t, which is the strongest thing on the page. You’ll see plenty of two-symbol near misses on a five-symbol screen, and the counting rules mean a lot of spins land one short of a pay.
Visually, it’s chrome and neon on black, a joker with a fixed grin, and almost nothing moving outside the wheel. Charming for 10 minutes. After that, you’re watching the middle reel and nothing else on the strip.
Fire Joker covers similar ground with a squarer board and a respin, giving you more to look at between wins. Master Joker’s answer is the wheel’s top segment, which can multiply an entire spin by a three-figure factor. That’s a bigger swing than a one-line fruit machine normally offers, and it’s why a low label doesn’t describe how this game actually behaves. The flat side is real too, and a run without the joker is a run with nothing at all in it.
If you like a game you can read in a second, this is it. If you need something to happen between wins, it isn’t.
