Banana Drop Overview
Six banana plants droop over Banana Drop’s reels against a teal jungle valley, each tagged with a grey octagon counter. Those counters are what this Crazy Tooth slot is about, because they tally the bananas each reel has built up before any of them fall. It’s the oldest of Crazy Tooth’s BIG BuildUp games.
Two later releases share the BIG BuildUp label, Lucky Clucks from November 2021 and 777 Super BIG BuildUp Deluxe from July 2022, and Crazy Tooth Studio rates both of them High. Banana Drop came out in July 2020. Read in that order, it’s the simplest version of the idea.
Demo Slot Features
Crazy Tooth Studio’s Falling Banana
Falling Banana is the game’s BIG BuildUp feature. Each plant banks bananas for the reel below it, and its counter shows how many are waiting. On any spin, at random, the bananas can fall onto the reels, where jungle monkeys jump in to snatch them and turn each one into a wild or a credit prize.
The timing stays random, but the counters give away where the bananas are piled up, and that advance view is the best thing about the design.
Full Stacks Feed the Plants
Symbols can land as full stacks, one symbol filling all four rows of its reel. If a full stack forms part of a win, it pays with the rest of that combination, and the same landing adds bananas to its reel’s plant.
That lets a single stacked spin pay a win and load a later drop at the same time.
Seven Bonus Spins
It takes 3 bonus scatters to start the Banana Drop Bonus Spins, a round of 7. Bananas fall on every spin of it, so the Falling Banana Feature is no longer left to chance. Full stacks matter here too, since landing one sends the monkeys to shake the banana plants and boost the features. With a drop on each of the seven spins, the bonus is where wilds and credit prizes can pile up across the reels.
Against it, the drop is random, and the bonus runs to 7 spins with no buy to reach it sooner. Neither costs it much, because the counters let you see what’s building. 6,031x came out on top when Crazy Tooth ran the game’s numbers, a modelled high point the game itself never enforces. Of the studio’s BuildUp demos, Banana Drop is the one to try first in free play.
How to Play
RTP
At 96.70%, Banana Drop out-returns Lucky Clucks and 777 Super BIG BuildUp Deluxe, both later BIG BuildUp games. Crazy Tooth rates its volatility Medium, milder than either of those two, and still credits it with a larger modelled result than both. It’s a common grade among the demos on the site. For a player, the pairing points to swings narrower than on the two High-rated follow-ups, without the top end shrinking to match. That grade describes spread over a long run, though, so any short session can still swing hard either way.
Ways Payouts
Six reels of four rows give this slot 4,096 ways, with wins formed when the same symbol lands on adjacent reels. Plenty of other demos on the site use a 6×4 grid or pay on 4,096 ways. Iron Bank is one that does both, also laying 4,096 ways over six reels of four rows, so the format is familiar before the bananas come into it. Ways replace paylines entirely, so the board reads column by column, and what counts is how many neighbouring reels share a symbol.
The reels mix faceted lion and hippo heads, purple zebra masks, golden pineapples, and coconuts with neon-outlined A, K, Q, and J. Stacking is what changes the reading. A full stack puts one symbol in all four positions of its reel, and on a ways grid each of those positions counts toward a match with the neighbouring reels. The same stack adds bananas to that reel’s plant, so the stacks and the counters are worth reading together, one telling you what paid and the other what’s loaded for later.
