Golden Hook, a Crazy Tooth Studio Demo
When do you let go of a fish that keeps getting more valuable? Golden Hook puts that question to the player on every cast. Hook a fish and keep holding, and the prize over the water climbs. Hold too long, and the line can snap, taking the catch with it. Press COLLECT, and the figure showing is banked. Crazy Tooth Studio builds the game around that one button.
The view is from the bow of a boat, a fishing rod rising over a bright blue sea with green islands on the horizon. A red hold button is set inside a red, blue, and green gauge, with a green COLLECT button beside it, and the hooked prize floats above the water in big red numerals. That scene puts Golden Hook in with the fishing demos on the site, though it has no reels.

The Line That Can Snap
Crazy Tooth calls the system WiNCREASE. A round begins with a cast, and once a fish is on the line, holding the button keeps the fight going while that fish’s prize grows. Every extra moment held raises the prize and the risk to it at once. A snapped line loses the catch. Pressing COLLECT takes the prize at whatever it reads in that moment.
Buoys on the Horizon
Crazy Tooth’s Multiplier Feature sends buoys floating up on the horizon to boost a catch. They come in 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 7x, and 10x, and they arrive at random. The player decides when a fight ends, but a buoy’s arrival is down to chance, so a well-timed COLLECT and a 10x buoy may or may not line up.
When a Golden Tuna Bites
A golden tuna can appear at random, and catching one starts the Golden Hook Bonus. The scene drops underwater, the hook turns gold, and fish of all sizes swim past it, each with a credit prize. The bonus runs on a timer and ends when the time runs out or a crab is caught. A crab may swim by as well. Catching it doubles the bonus win and ends the round together, so the bonus saves its best moment for last.
What decides a round, then, is the COLLECT call. Buoys and golden tuna arrive on their own, and a snapped line pays nothing however long the fight lasted. Timing is the one thing the player owns. Crazy Tooth’s December 2021 release is a timing game in fishing clothes, with a bonus that adds to that decision rather than replacing it.
How to Play
How a Catch Pays
Each prize in Golden Hook belongs to a single hooked fish, and it pays only if COLLECT is pressed before the line snaps. With no reels, symbols, or paylines, there is no slot paytable to study and no symbol values to learn. The red button casts the line and holds the fight, and the green COLLECT button ends it.
A round follows a fixed order. The cast goes out, and when a fish takes the hook, the hold begins. While the button stays down, the prize on that fish climbs, and a multiplier buoy may float up to boost it. Pressing COLLECT banks the figure, and catching a golden tuna opens the bonus underwater. Staying on the button risks the line.
Wait one moment too long, and the catch is gone.
Fish pay very differently in Big Size Fishin’ 2, where fish values pay only when the fisherman Wild lands in free spins and collects them. Here, the fish is the prize from the moment it’s hooked, and the open question is how long to fight it. Getting a feel for that timing is what free play on this demo is for.
Demo RTP
Crazy Tooth puts Golden Hook’s return at 96.75%, and 73.9 of those points come from ordinary catches and 22.8 from the bonus. That’s about three quarters of the return in regular fishing, so expect ordinary catches, rather than the bonus, to shape how a run of rounds goes. Crazy Tooth’s test runs topped out at 3,082x, the best result the studio recorded, with no stop at that figure inside the game. There is no bonus buy, so the tuna is the one way in.
