Nine Tailed Fox Slot Demo

How many forms can one Wild take in Nine Tailed Fox? Two, and the switch between them is the best thing about this 243-ways slot. A Wild that lands on reel 2, 3, or 4 trades its small fox tile for a fox-eared woman a full reel tall. That reel stays Wild, and the other reels spin again until no new Wild arrives.
A dark wooden pagoda roof frames a purple reel bed, with glowing paper lanterns at both top corners and gold 243 WAYS lettering down each post. Sky-blue clouds and mountains fill the back, a pagoda silhouette on the left. The paying symbols are Japanese props: a red torii gate with a black top beam, a white kitsune mask with red swirls and a red tassel, a pink-and-green folding fan, and a golden scroll with turquoise caps. Furry letters fill out the low end, with A in pink-purple, K red, Q orange, J green, and 10 blue.
Slot Features
KA Gaming’s Expanding Feature
The Expanding Feature belongs to the middle three reels, numbered 2 to 4. Land a Wild on one of them, and the whole reel turns Wild. The game holds it there as the other reels respin. If that respin drops another Wild onto a middle reel, the same thing happens again, and the cycle repeats until a respin brings no new Wild. Because wins on the 243 ways start from reel 1, a held reel in the middle is a column that no longer needs a match, so a symbol on the first reel can run through it to whatever lands further right. Two held reels remove two columns from the problem, and a third leaves the two outer reels to settle the result. The Better Platform’s Lucky Corona Respin follows a similar plan, with a Crown Wild for reels 2, 3, and 4 that expands, locks, and triggers a respin.
Two Wild Faces
The Wild comes in two artworks. As a single square, it’s a white-and-lilac fox in profile, blue-purple tails flowing behind it and gold WILD lettering along the base of a purple tile. Once a reel expands, the art switches to a woman with long white-blonde hair, fox ears, and a pink-and-magenta dress with gold trim, white tails fanned out behind her. The swap makes a held reel easy to pick out, since it’s the one column showing a figure instead of a stack of symbols. In either form, it replaces everything except the scatter. It has no line in the paytable, so it is worth only what the symbols it connects pay.
Scatter Free Game

The NINE TAILED FOX logo tile is the scatter, purple and white lettering on black-red marble. Three scatters bring 8 free spins, while four bring 15 and five bring 25, three separate counts instead of one fixed number. A fifth scatter lifts the award from 15 spins to 25.
The scatter also pays by count: 2x with three, 5x with four, and 20x with five. That 20x is the largest figure anywhere in the paytable, ahead of the torii gate’s 8.33x for five.
Weighed up, the held reel is the one idea here worth the trip. The remaining pays are modest, with the fox mask at 5x for five, the fan at 3.33x, and the letters topping out at 1.33x for five A’s. That leaves the Expanding Feature to supply the interest, and it needs a Wild on reel 2, 3, or 4 before anything happens, with the Wild itself paying nothing alone. Nine Tailed Fox earns 3.5/5 here, a fair score for one good idea on small pays, and it’s one to try in free play before forming a view on the respin chain.
How to Play
Slot RTP
Nine Tailed Fox counts its wins across 243 ways, starting at reel 1 and reading rightward, and the smallest total bet is $0.30 and the largest $150. The game came out in August 2024. KA Gaming lets each casino pick an RTP from 82% up to 98%, a wide band that puts the setting with the operator. There is no buy option and no bet mode to weigh up.
Reading rightward matters because of the held reels. A run must open on the first reel and continue reel by reel, in any row, so a torii gate on reel 1 beside a Wild reel 2 already counts as two of a kind. Three is the shortest run the table pays, for every symbol from the gate down to the 10. Each symbol pays only its highest combination on a spin, and the Wild can replace each paying symbol, though not the scatter. The scatter is counted on its own, outside the ways.
Game Paytable
The torii gate leads at 8.33x for five, with the three other picture symbols stepping down from the fox mask at 5x to the scroll at 2x. The letters pay in pairs, K and Q sharing one row of values and J and 10 another, with A alone above them. J and 10 start at 0.07x for three. The top two symbols climb steeply from four to five of a kind, the gate from 4x to 8.33x and the mask from 2.17x to 5x. Since a held Wild reel in the middle stands in for one column of any run, the four- and five-symbol columns are the ones worth reading. The Wild has no row, and the scatter’s 20x for five is the biggest number in the table.
