Space Donkey Demo by Nolimit City
Insert coin, and Space Donkey opens as a 6×6 ways slot, 46,656 ways over an 8-bit ocean. Land three dynamite Scatters in the Space Donkey demo, though, and the reels give way to a board game; land four, and they give way to a side-scrolling shooter.
Neither bonus counts spins. Nolimit City’s 8-bit monkey walks the first with 3 lives and an Alien on his heels, then flies the second on shields against five launcher tubes and a Mothership with 25 lives. Released in October 2023, the slot underneath him pays between bonuses through a UFO Wild and a squad of Choppers.
Slot Features
Dynamite Scatters
The Scatter is a bundle of dynamite strapped to an alarm clock. Three start Hide N’ Seek, four start Seek N’ Destroy, and each Scatter past four adds a Monkey shield to the shooter.
The Two Bonus Games

Hide N’ Seek
The three Scatters turn into Traps on a 6×6 board whose edges connect to the opposite side. Each turn shows a Direction and a number of Steps, and the Monkey walks them, opening whatever he lands on. A Grey Chest holds an extra life, a multiplier value, an upgrade to Seek N’ Destroy, or nothing, while a Golden Chest has a multiplier value.
After each move, the Alien takes one step toward the Monkey. It takes a life if it reaches him and adds any chest it crosses to its value. A Trap kills the Alien and leaves a Golden Chest where it started; when the Monkey walks into one, he loses a life and the Trap disappears. The Magician pays the sum of every Golden Chest in view, the King multiplies Golden Chests by 2x to 10x, the Princess collects the chests beside her and kills a neighbouring Alien, and the Stone Monster doubles a Golden Chest, opens a Grey Chest, and kills an Alien. A Teleport found in a Grey Chest ends the board at once and starts Seek N’ Destroy.
Five Tubes and a Mothership
In the shooter, the grid becomes 5 rows and 6 columns, with a random 1x to 10x multiplier over columns 2 to 6. Each turn, an Alien with a value comes out of each launcher tube, the Monkey jumps to a random row and fires, and a killed Alien pays its value times its column multiplier. The tubes have 3, 4, 5, 4, and 3 lives from top to bottom. A destroyed tube pays 100x, wipes out the Aliens in the rows beside it, and adds their values. An Alien that reaches the left edge on the Monkey’s row costs him a shield or a life, and the round ends when he has none left.
This mode also accounts for the smallest share of the return, 1.68% of the 96.07% RTP, against 24.83% for Hide N’ Seek and 69.56% for the main game.
Monkeypendence Day
Bring down the Mothership, or every launcher tube, and the shooter closes on Monkeypendence Day, a random x5, x10, x15, or x20 on everything the bonus has won.
How to Play
A UFO That Clears Its Reel

The Abduction Wild is a flying saucer that lands on every reel but the first during regular spins, and it does nothing unusual until it helps form a win. Then, it stays for the next drop, moves down its reel, and abducts the normal paying symbols, adding +1 to its multiplier for each one it takes. That multiplier counts as the same number of symbols in the Wild’s position.
Wins build from reel 1 across neighbouring reels, and each separate route through the grid pays. The 6×6 always offers 46,656 ways. Nothing on the board adds or removes one. What changes is the board itself, since every win clears its symbols and new ones drop in from above, giving the saucer another go within the same round.
Choppers Firing Both Ways
Chopper symbols land on the four middle reels in base play, and three or more of them set off Hellfire. The first Chopper fires in one direction, the second in two, and so on down the line. Each one has a multiplier from 2x to 10x and adds it to every Wild and paying symbol in its line of fire, with the multiplier counting as that many symbols in the position it lands on.
The Monkey’s Arsenal
The weapons in Seek N’ Destroy have the names of an arcade shooter’s power-ups. The Link Gun takes a life from every Alien of one kind and fires at the launch tubes when there are none. The Laser Gun hits every Alien in its row, the tube included, and the Nuke works down a column. The Rail Gun kills one Alien outright. Upgraded, the Link Gun, Nuke, and Rail Gun fire twice and the Laser Gun reaches the rows on either side. Booster symbols also come out of the tubes, each worth a shield or an upgrade.
RTP and Stakes
A €0.20 bet marks the bottom of a range that climbs to €200. No xBet or Booster setting changes the game’s maths.

Ultimate Slots Verdict
Behind an ordinary-looking 6x6 ways grid wait a board game and a side-scrolling shooter, and both run on lives rather than spins. The Abduction Wild and Hellfire do the regular paying, the symbol pays are flat, and the shooter is rare. Both rulebooks take some reading, though the 8-bit art explains a lot at a glance. Bringing down the Mothership once justifies a long stretch of free play.
✓ What We Like
- Hide N' Seek plays as a board game, with lives, chests, helpers, and an Alien on the Monkey's trail
- Seek N' Destroy is a full side-scrolling shooter, with upgradable weapons, launcher tubes, and a 25-life Mothership
- An Abduction Wild clears its reel and grows its multiplier after each win it helps form
- The 8-bit art holds together down to the pixel pineapple on the Safe Word screen
✗ What Could Be Better
- Seek N' Destroy is rare, so many sessions never reach the headline bonus
- Symbol pays are flat for 46,656 ways, topping out at 4x for six
- Both bonus rulebooks are long, and Hide N' Seek's cast takes some reading before the board makes sense
Detailed Review
Lives Instead of Spins
Three lives. The Monkey takes them into Hide N’ Seek instead of the spin counter a free-spins round would show, and the bonus lasts as long as they do. Each turn spends a Direction and a number of Steps, the Alien closes by one square, and a Trap can take a life on any turn. Seek N’ Destroy changes lives for shields and brings in a 25-life Mothership.
The art makes the pitch before the rules do. The screen is an 8-bit ocean seen from above, jungle islands line its edges, and a Mothership’s hull fills the upper edge of the board. The monkey pilot wears flying goggles, the plane is a green propeller fighter, and the low symbols are card ranks on wing badges. The logo and the bonus titles use chunky pixel lettering, and the Scatter is dynamite with a clock face. Even the cap has a sprite, a pixel pineapple in sunglasses under the name Safe Word, set at 14,649x.
For this review, the main game counts for more than either bonus, because it pays most of the money. The Abduction Wild clears its reel after each win it joins, and three Choppers can lay 2x to 10x along several firing lines at once, so the 6×6 does real work between Scatters.
When the shooter does arrive, the numbers get large quickly. Each tube is worth 100x before the Aliens around it are counted, and Monkeypendence Day multiplies the haul by as much as x20 at the end.
The shooter is the headline and also rare, and plenty of sessions will end without it. The symbol pays are flat for a 46,656-way grid, with nothing above 4x for six. Both rulebooks run long, and Hide N’ Seek asks you to learn Traps, two kinds of chest, a Teleport, a cast of helpers, and an Alien with rules of its own before the board makes sense.
That Alien does the most to keep you glued to the screen. It moves one square closer after each turn, you can see it coming, and the Direction and Steps the game hands the Monkey decide whether he gets away.
Nolimit City has also sent aliens at the player in Brute Force.
Space Donkey is a solid ways slot with two arcade games bolted on, and the second of them, with its tubes, weapons, and falling Mothership, is the part people will remember. It can take a long time to arrive, and in free play that costs nothing.
