About Game

Diamond Rise Demo by Playtech

Cyan light rays cut across a deep purple backdrop, and a chrome frame studded with purple diamonds holds neon BARs, cherries, grapes, and a red 7. That’s the Diamond Rise demo, a 3-reel Playtech slot with a ball drop bonus. The ball drop has its own Ball Drop button, and pressing it has no impact on where the balls go.

Features and Free Play

Diamond Rise reels with a cyan diamond Scatter on reel 1, an x2 diamond Scatter on reel 3, grapes, a red 7 and BARs
A plain diamond Scatter on reel 1 and an x2 Scatter on reel 3; a third Scatter on that spin would start the ball drop with the cups raised by x2

Wild on Reel 2

The Wild is the word “Wild” in orange-gold script inside a pink-red neon swirl. It appears on reel 2 only and substitutes for any symbol other than the Scatter. The paytable lists no value for the Wild itself.

Diamond Scatters

The Scatter is a cyan neon outline of a cut diamond on a burst of coloured pixel dots. A spin with 3 Scatters in any position starts the Diamond Rise Feature. The Scatter on reel 3 may appear with an x2, x3, or x5 multiplier, and the x2 version shows a large yellow-gold “x2” across the gem. One spin can show both forms, a plain Scatter on reel 1 and an x2 on reel 3, and still fall one short of the feature.

Ball Drop

Once the third Scatter lands, the game moves to a triangle of 15 pegs with 6 cups underneath, and the cups open at x4, x2, x1, x1, x2, and x4. If the triggering Scatter on reel 3 had a multiplier, the game applies it to those cup values before anything falls. You then get 3 Diamond Balls. Each press of the Ball Drop button releases a blue ball onto the pegs, where it bounces down into one of the 6 cups, and that cup’s multiplier goes onto the feature tally. A ball that touches a blue peg earns an extra ball, and other pegs can change a ball’s colour, so a feature can run past its 3 balls and raise cups as it goes. When every ball, extras included, has dropped, the game pays the tally and the feature ends.

Peg Upgrades

Pegs change a drop in two ways. A blue peg can add one extra ball per ball drop. A blue ball that hits a gold peg turns pink, and a pink ball raises the value of the cup it lands in by x2. If a pink ball then hits another, it turns gold and raises its cup by x4. Each such peg can improve a ball once per ball drop.

Multiplied Cups

Before any multiplier, two cups show x1, two show x2, and two show x4. They grow in two ways. A reel-3 Scatter with x2, x3, or x5 on the spin that starts the feature raises all 6 cups at the beginning. Pink and gold balls raise the one cup they land in. Each landing adds that cup’s value to the tally, and the game pays it once the last ball has fallen.

How to Play

Staking a Spin

Every spin plays all 3 lines, and each line is one row of the grid. Line 1 is the top row, line 2 the middle, and line 3 the bottom, so there are no diagonals or zigzags to trace. The game plays every round at its maximum of 3 lines, so the total bet is the one stake to set. A row pays when its three symbols match, because each paying symbol pays for three. When two rows win on the same spin, the game adds both pays together.

Reel 2 is the middle position on all 3 lines. That’s where the Wild appears, so a Wild can help complete a win on whichever row it lands in. Two bells on reels 1 and 3 with a Wild between them on the same row pay as three bells. It can’t stand in for the Scatter, though. Scatters don’t need a line at all; three of them count in any position, and the one on reel 3 may bring a multiplier with it.

Rarestone, Playtech’s dedicated slot studio, made Diamond Rise. The studio’s Mega Fire Blaze: The Khan spreads its wins across 40 lines, and next to it this game is a stripped-back machine with a single row of symbols per line and a peg board for its bonus.

In free play, that leaves the stake as your one setting before a spin. The feature asks one thing of you once it starts. You press Ball Drop for each ball, including any extra ball a blue peg adds. The press has no impact on the outcome, and the game pays the tally after the last one.

Game Paytable

Five symbols pay in this game, and every one needs three matching symbols on a line. The table gives each pay as a multiplier on the total bet.

Symbol 3 on a line
Bell 32x
Red 7 16x
Grapes 8x
Cherries 4x
BAR 2x

The tilted yellow-orange bell tops the table at 32x, and the purple neon BAR sign pays the least at 2x. Fruit fills the middle, with grapes at 8x and cherries at 4x, both drawn with green neon leaves, while the red 7 at 16x has short red dashes around it. The Wild has no value of its own in the table, and the diamond Scatter has no line value either. Three Scatters landing together anywhere start the Diamond Rise Feature, whose tally is a sum of cup multipliers rather than a line pay.

Ultimate Slots Verdict

The ball drop defines Diamond Rise, and it plays itself.

Three Scatters landing together anywhere start it, 3 Diamond Balls fall into cups that open at x1 to x4, blue pegs can add a ball, and gold pegs can turn a ball pink for x2 or gold for x4 on the cup it lands in. Pressing the Ball Drop button has no impact on the outcome. Around the feature is a three-line fruit game whose best line is three bells at 32x. It's tidy and bright, and it leaves the player as a spectator.

  • The Wild appears on reel 2 only
  • Five paying symbols, each needing three on a line

Detailed Review

Slot Review

Diamond Rise gets 3.3 out of 5 because its bonus plays itself and the line game gives you very little to weigh. The paytable has five symbols, all paying for three on a line, from the BAR at 2x up to the bell at 32x. The Wild appears on reel 2 only and earns nothing by itself. With the three rows as the three lines, a spin is read at a glance, and there’s no second layer to it. That leaves the ball drop as the reason to load the game, and the ball drop leaves you nothing to decide.

The ball drop does have working parts. Blue pegs can add a ball, gold pegs can turn a ball pink and then gold, and a multiplied Scatter on reel 3 raises every cup before the first ball falls on the triggering spin. Three bells on a line make a fair top pay for a 3-line game. The x5 Scatter is the largest multiplier the game names, and it reaches all 6 cups at once. None of it depends on the player. The Ball Drop button invites a press and a pause, as if timing mattered, and Diamond Rise states plainly that the player’s action has no impact on the outcome. A button that looks like a choice keeps your eyes on the pegs, and it’s honest of the game to say so, but it turns the one moment of tension into watching.

Does a player who likes making decisions get anything here? No. It’s a diamond slot with a neon gem for a Scatter, three rows of fruit, and a peg board that runs on its own. The neon is sharp, and the cups can grow. Once the stake is set, though, the game makes every call that matters.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. The button releases the next ball, but the player's input has no impact on the outcome of the feature.
A blue ball turns pink when it hits a gold peg on the way down, and a pink ball raises the cup it lands in by x2. A second hit turns a pink ball gold for x4 on its cup, and each peg can improve a ball only once per ball drop.
Diamond Rise's Scatter on reel 3 may appear with an x2, x3, or x5 multiplier. If that Scatter is on the spin that triggers the feature, the game applies its multiplier to the cups at the start.
Reel 2 only, and it can replace every symbol other than the Scatter.
