The Golden Buffalo symbol lands exclusively during Free Spins. Each landing increments a counter on the progress bar to the left of the reels, then transforms into a standard Buffalo symbol. Reaching specific thresholds permanently upgrades entire symbol classes to Buffalo for the rest of the round. At 4 Golden Buffalo symbols, all Eagle symbols upgrade; at 7, all Cougars upgrade; at 13, all Wolves upgrade; at 15, all Elk upgrade. The Wild does not substitute for the Golden Buffalo.

Buffalo Wild Collection uses a ways-to-win format across a 5×4 grid, producing 1,024 ways. Buffalo Wild Collection is a competent, well-presented entry in a crowded genre that does most things right and little that's genuinely distinctive. The multiplier wild system adds real bite to regular play, the Golden Buffalo upgrade gives the free spins round a sense of progression, and the visual execution is clean throughout. Against that, the RTP sits slightly below industry average at 95.91%, the music loop in regular play wears thin quickly, and once the collection thresholds are understood there isn't a great deal of new territory to explore.
The multiplier wild system can move a session fast, a 48x return on the very first spin is a good illustration of that, and also of why variance cuts both ways in a high-volatility game. That kind of return on spin one is not something a session will reliably reproduce, and it’s worth setting that expectation before settling into a longer run.
