Connect & Collect symbols can land on any ordinary position across reels 1 to 5, and each one carries a cash value between 0.4x and 50x the bet. They pay nothing on their own. A chain forms when they touch each other horizontally or vertically, starting from the leftmost reel, and the game then pays every value along it. Should that run reach one of the two special positions beside reel 3, or a position on the sixth reel alongside the grid, it adds the award shown there.
Seven awards can occupy a special position. Three are fixed prizes: Minor at 20x, Major at 100x, and Grand at 4,000x the bet. One is a cash disc that takes a random value from 2x up to 160x. Wilds appear on reels 2, 3, and 4, and Add Wilds is the only route by which one reaches reel 5.
The same Connect & Collect system appears in Fire Stampede Ultimate, the other build of this chassis on the site, and the awards behave the same way. What changes here is the artwork, the grid, the ways count, and the cap size. Wild Streak Gaming has made three of these for Pragmatic Play, and this one, from October 2024, is the third.
The bet menu moves in fixed steps from $0.25 upwards, and the Buy Free Spins plaque prices itself off the current total bet, so what it costs rises and falls with the stake instead of staying at one figure. A slot whose paytable is close to decoration, and that turns out to be the point. Every award worth having travels along a chain of Connect & Collect symbols to a special position beside reel 3 or on the sixth reel, and the ordinary symbols mostly fill the gaps between those chains. It asks for patience, and the gaps are real. What it gives back is a board you can read at a glance, and a feature you can see coming 3 reels away.
Collect symbols on reels 1, 3, and 4 with nothing on reel 2 is an ordinary screen here. The values are legible; the two clover discs beside reel 3 are lit with cash, but none of it counts because the chain has to start at the left edge and stay unbroken to get across.
Read the paytable alone, and you would file this slot near the bottom of the provider’s catalogue. Five leprechauns, the best the ordinary symbols manage, return 4x. Five nines return 0.4x. Spread over 1,875 ways, that is a set of numbers deliberately kept small, because every figure with weight behind it belongs to the collect system instead, and none of those figures appears in the symbol table.
The case against the design is the chain’s shape. It has to begin on reel 1, and each link must touch the last horizontally or vertically, so a board thick with collect symbols still pays nothing when the second reel comes up empty. Between chains, there’s little to pay for the wait, and free play makes it easy to watch a long stretch without a feature. A collect symbol on reel 1 with a gap behind it sets up a wait that resolves within a second, and the game runs that small rise and fall far more often than it pays for it.
The art works quietly. A pipe-smoking leprechaun, a beer mug, mushrooms along the path, and a pot of gold under a rainbow, all in the green and gold every Irish game uses, with the narrow third reel breaking the frame in a way the theme never explains. Clover Fest 256 covers the same ground from a different studio with a different set of ideas, and the choice between the two is a choice between a paytable game and a collection game.
Judged against what it sets out to do, the chain is a better piece of design than the symbol values it displaces. It gives the player something to read on every screen, which a ways board on its own does not, and it makes a near miss visible rather than invisible. Three builds into this chassis, Wild Streak has stopped pretending the symbols matter, and the game is clearer for it.
